The views from our suite were unforgettable!! It was a paradise in all aspects of the word. And the staff would do anything for you to make your stay perfect. Yasmin was just the perfect person for the job, and she made our stay a dream come true! We had the time of our lives and Yasmin was a big part of that. Vila Santa Theresa is an even better hotel thanks to her. Our trip was truly memorable!

My paradise
This was not a hotel, this was a home This was luxury living at its best. I felt like I was living in a celebrity world of exclusivity and comfort. There are only 7 guest suites so was very private. The staff was excellent, the rooms extremely comfortable, the food delicious, and the views unexplainable. It was very difficult to leave this paradise. I have only a few comments. The pool was nice, but would be nice if it was skimmed with a net each morning to catch the few bugs and leaves. (by the way there were not many bugs here or really anywhere in Rio). Also it is a bit difficuly for cab and uber drivers to find. One we knew how to get there it was not a problem and they called taxis for us for pick up. IT wqas worth it though as this was the most spectacular place I have ever stayed.

Booked a suite for my 40th. I arrive around 10am, check-in is at 3pm so the staff said have breakfast and hangout until the room is ready. Im eating breakfast and a female guest starts yelling and throwing her hands up. Said that I shouldn't be here. The staff removed my plate, asked if I could leave, picked up my bag and escorted me out. He requested I not come back until 3pm. Not a pleasant welcome. . .other than that, room was clean, food was delicious, staff was nice. I wanted to book a helicopter but they said I had to have other people with me. Im a solo traveler.

Excellent stay!
Excellent stay in a quiet retreat which was a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Private, secluded with a delicious breakfast and an outstanding view. The staff was exceptional including Alessandro who helped me with everything from restaurant reservations to transportation, my cleaning service by Adrienne was excellent and all the supporting staff including Leonardo. I would definitely return. Highly secure property and really love the view!

Absolutely amazing stay in Santa Teresa neighbourhood. Stayed for two nights, and dined in for all meals. Great cuisine, service, and unique wine list. Art Deco-inspired gem, with breathtaking views. Heaven!

Such an incredible stay at Villa Santa Teresa. We arrived to this absolute dream like villa on a private gated mountain top road surrounded by gardens. The estate and views took our breath away. You will feel almost like you’re staying in a private mansion of a good friend. Room was immaculate and the turndown service was perfect. The staff provided buttons so you always could reach someone for a cocktail or assistance. I can’t rave enough about it. We spent one of our days exploring the town but loved the hotel so much we decided to stay out and enjoy for our last day by the pool and having a beautiful dinner overlooking the mountain and ocean. It’s a truly magical experience and one that my husband and I will remember forever. We would come back in a heartbeat! Don’t hesitate, just book :)

Tremendous views. My biggest complaint was that they don’t go out of the way to clearly point out children are not allowed to stay at the hotel.

Vila Santa Teresa is a hotel of only seven suites, our proposal is to offer maximum relaxation for guests, since our first opening day we never accept children, which is clear on our website and emails. Still, we made an exception to welcome your daughter to the New Year's party, with no charge. I regret that the child announcements have gone unnoticed but we hope you will return at another time.

Vila Santa Teresa by far was the “icing on the cake” of my Rio de Janeiro visit. I can’t say enough about how beautiful, safe, and accommodating my stay was. I love the fact that I was contacted via phone days before my arrival to confirm my reservation so that I felt welcome. I truly love this being that I don’t speak Portuguese. It was nice to know that they were thinking of me before arrival. I must also say that Felipe, Rose, Vilmar, and Sabino were fantastic! Felipe seemed to be the manager. Both he and Vilmar spoke English. They were very informative and helped guide me through the hotel’s beauty, luxury design, setup, and the Santa Teresa area. My room was a dream! It was very spacious. I had a premium suite with a view of the Guanabara Bay, which included a spectacular view of Sugar Loaf mountain. The view is something I will never forget. If you’re looking for luxury, seclusion, and top hospitality minutes from the the craziness of the beach crowd, then Hotel Vila Santa Teresa is your spot. You won’t regret it.

The stay is an interesting experience. This is a two stories mansion located inside a large private estate up the hill. The villa itself has nice living areas modernly furnished and a small outdoor pool with amazing bay and mountain views. The room is spacious and clean. Welcome fruit and Italian brand bottled water are provided on the day of arrival. I have paid a premium for a room with balcony (over AUD 1,000 per night) however the villa checked me in a room without balcony and I was told the room I wished for had already been occupied. No refund was offered for this situation. Unlike an hotel, there isn't an official reception inside the villa. It is very hard to get service. There is only one person working as the receptionist who walks around the house and can hardly be reached by the phone provided inside the room. I literally had to searched around the house for the receptionist to get service attention. Not to mentioned other general services you can easily get by making a call. Breakfast is a la cart. Options are minimum. Overall, the highlight is the view. It is not indeed a luxury hotel.

Foi realmente uma experiencia maravilhosa e completa!!!! A casa é lindíssima com ambientes de muito bom gosto nos mínimos detalhes. A vista da piscina é fantástica. Quartos amplos, claros, com lençois e travesseiros perfeitos. Restaurante com opções diferentes para almoço, lanche e jantar. Tudo delicioso!!! Mysigt hotell i Santa Teresa med magisk utsikt
Om man söker ett lugnt hotell på en vacker plats med närheten till Rios puls är detta helt rätt hotell. Vacker beläget på eget område i Santa Teresa med magisk utsikt över sockertoppen och de intilliggande stadsdelarna och havet. På några minuter med bil når man de centrala delarna av Santa Teresa. Stränderna och stadsdelarna Ipanema och Leblon når man på runt 30 minuter. Något knepig infart till hotellet men väl där är man i en vacker oas. Litet hotell beläget i en äldre privat villa med stora och fina rum. Härlig frukost och mysiga middagar (kvaliteten på själva maten kunde varit något högre men servicen är världsklass). Stor fantastisk trädgård med tropisk grönska och trevlig pool. Utsikten över bukten, Flamengo och Botafogo samt Sockertoppen är ständigt påtagliga. Vi spenderade en långhelg och var supernöjda - vi kommer tillbaka!
