"It was a wonderful stay from the get go. I was given an early check-in. Check-in experience was amazing. Specially I do like to thank Victoria at the reception who recognized my exhaustion from the red eye flight and offered an early check in. Not only that, she assign me a higher floor room with a great ocean view. Room was clean and nice. I got to request an Iron which was promptly provided. There aren’t many dining or shopping options available in walkable distance but 5 min Uber ride will expose you to ample of options. This area is great for shopping. It’s very nice that hotel provides pool towels. I’m surprised none of the Windsor hotels near by doesn’t have a gift shop in case if need to buy an extra swim wear, goggles or etc. overall it was a great stay in Barra de Tijuca. "

"Excellent place to stay in Rio. Super clean, good breakfast, convenient location right in front of the beach, many restaurants in the area. My only complaint is the poor lighting in the room and bathroom, which made it near impossible to apply the little makeup I usually put on. "

"The hotel was nice but the staff wasn’t responsive. The pull out need didn’t have any sheets and there were none to be found in the room. I tried calling housekeeping and front desk several times but nobody answered. Finally I went down and asked in person and the assured me they’d sent someone up. Waited for over 30 minutes and nobody ever showed. Finally we were so tired from our days adventures we just stole a sheet from the other bed."

"We liked the property. It was close to the ocean and hearing the ocean rise and fall was wonderful for sleeping and meditation. I did not like being placed on the 20th floor of the hotel. I'm aversive to heights. The room was fine and we had a partial view of the ocean. But we also had a good view of the favela bored into the mountainside behind the hotel. The favelas are unfortunate living areas of the poor and dispossessed, and this bothered me somewhat. The food was great. The restaurants took care of us nicely and the concierge was wonderful in answering all of our questions. "
