"Christie’s place is exactly as described and her reccomendations were excellent. The room was beautiful with charming personal touches. The screened in porch overlooking the back yard was a perfect spot for coffee in the morning or to unwind after a hike. The location was walkable to both lower town as well as a few lesser known spots in “upper town”. We will definately keep this place in mind for our next visit to Harpers Ferry."

"Really disappointed. The house looks nice on the outside but on the inside, there was serious need of cleaning and upgrade. We rented the guest house since there were 3 of us. Very outdated and dirty. The comforter not clean. The second bed was the pull out sofa. The host later brought a pile of linens as if just out of the dryer for the bed…not folded and not made up before we arrived. The worst part was a very strong must odor. Smelled moldy. "My wife and I were staying here for our wedding day that was taking place up the road. This stay was one of our favorites that we have done. The owners are vwry patient and responsive. The guest suit is very clean and comfortable with alot of natural light. I definitely recommend this property. Also, they dogs that live on the property are great and will greet you outside."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Train Station. The location was out of the traffic of the tourist areas, but they were easily accesible. It was very peaceful in the woods and the house itself was well stocked and the beds were comfortable! If you are looking for a place that has a great place to hang out together as a family (like a comfortable living room with a big sectional sofa) this is not the place you are looking for. "We were welcomed by Traci upon after a long day of driving. Her place is quiet and clean with comfortable beds, and the home baked goodies and fresh flowers are an unexpected treat. There are several restaurants within walking distance in the lovely downtown area of this quaint, historic town. We would definitely stay again when visiting the area."

"My friends and I had an excellent stay at this property, it was the perfect size for 3 adults and very quaint and private. I will say that the listing says that it is 8.8 miles from Leesburg VA (which is where my friends and I were visiting) but that is not entirely accurate- there IS a ferry you can take across that maybe makes that number true but if you are an out of towner and are planning on just driving GPS style it ACTUALLY takes about 25-30 minutes to drive into town. Our 4 year old daughter loved the horses, alpacas and dogs on the property. Great long weekend location outside DC. Very cozy, well maintained house."

"This house is amazing as is the property. We were very comfortable here. Very peaceful. My only issue was the $$$ cleaning fee. The pots had to be washed due to cob webs. We had to strip the beds and pile the towels, take all the garbage out to the cans and load the dishwasher. What exactly does the $ fee cover?"
