Though looking somewhat dated, the property is well maintained though the rooms rather basic. The staff were quite friendly The biggest plus to the property is its proximity to the airport but the biggest downside is its distance from everything else (albeit as far as amenities like restaurants there are not a lot of everything else). You are more or less forced to eat at the hotel. The prices for the hotel, meals, rental cars were on the high side.

Beautiful property. Nice view of lush mountains from our room. Continental breakfast was good - fresh fruit, breads, cereal and some kind Samoan porridge which changed each morning. Hotel restaurant was good for dinner - relaxing and good food.

The hotel is comfortable, safe and provides a very welcoming feel. Food was delicious and service was excellent. It is far from a lot of the islands sights, shopping and dining but very close to the airport.

Excellent choice!
Reception at midnight was very cordial. Our room was very comfortable, with a HIGH king size bed. Very convenient was the extra sink in addition to the one in the bathroom, making things easier for a couple. The meals ( breakfast and dinner) in the on-site Equator restaurant were very good, with the dinner portions quite large. All of the employees were very friendly, especially the servers in the restaurant. Overall we highly recommend Tradewinds!

It was a nice property and feel that staff could have been more tentative. To include: cleaning the pool on a daily basis, taking the couches out on the 3rd floor because they smelled musty and ensuring no bugs are in the kitchen.

Worst customer service. Not enough supplies, housekeeping would come late into the night to bring back clean towels because they don’t have enough supplies to replace them while the dirty ones are being washed. You can tell the building is in need of some type of update because there are mold in the bathrooms. The water runs super slow. Like it takes forever to wash off the soap. Front desk ladies don’t tell you when ppl stop by to visit. I checked out and the first thing the front lady said “I’m sooooo sorry” and I looked at my bf because we didn’t know what happened and she stated that she forgot to call up to our room or send us a memo of ppl stopping by for us to give us stuff to take back home. Just had a bad experience. The owner or whoever needs to invest in renovating this place and buying more supplies. I don’t blame the staff because it is what they have to work with, but management should at least look into these matters and make changes.

The only thing I liked about this place was it was close to everything. Cleanliness was 2/5, when we first got to our room there were mildew stains on one of the pillowcase. Housekeeping would take the dirty towels and some days we wouldn’t have any clean towels due to it being washed. I have never been to a facility where they would take your dirty towels and not have any to replace them. I don’t blame housing keeping because they are limited on supplies, but with the amount of car rentals and rooms this facility have, I’m surprised they don’t invest more into buy more supplies. Housekeeping would have to take all the dirty towels, wash them, and then distribute them back to the rooms. Sometimes, I would I be in my room after six, and house keeping is just delivering clean towels. Also, front desk customer service is the worst. I had called a day in advanced to request a complimentary shuttle from the airport, we arrived and waited 30mins. No one showed up, we had to asked a stranger to use their phone because our phone didn’t work in American Samoa, called the hotel and the front lady said that no one notated it. The hotel is about 10mins away from the airport, and the shuttle showed up another 30mins later. So we waited for a whole hour before getting picked up. There were no taxi’s at the airport because we arrived on a Sunday or else we would have just gotten a taxi. I would write more about how this place has bad customer service but it limits the amount of characters.

Nice property with comfortable beds. This property charged for wifi which was not reliable. Often it would drop or not work at all. I often did not have hot water to shower. Also, staff gave different answers depending on who was at the desk which made things confusing.

When we got there to check in the eftpos machine didnt work and they led us to believe it was our fault. There was no free toiletries or kettle coffee or mugs in the room. When i questioned them they said it didnt have them. Ishowed
