Resort fee at check-in, not included in price! My husband and I arrived late evening. Staff couldn't fInd my reservation. Questioned whether I made one and demanded to see my phone. So rude. Several customers behind me went through. Staff finally checked again, "a different way" and found my reservation. No apology for doubting me and the unneeded long wait. Then I was told that I had to pay the additional cost of a resort fee. I never would've booked with the hotel had that been disclosed In the hotel details. The price should include all costs so that it's not a bait and switch scam. The worst sound proofing that we've ever had at a hotel. We listened to a tv, word for word, all night, along with slammIng doors, walking sound, and talking. Most hotels include breakfast for the total cost that we paid, while this hotel didn't. We didn't want to pay more for that and left very early to get some quiet time. Would not recommend this hotel.

Thank you for your feedback. The information you first provided was not correct in the system, so you were asked to step aside until we could figure it out to help other guests in line. We did within a few minutes do that and got you checked in. You did receive an apology. We do charge a resort fee and it is on all our reservations for guests to see. We are classified as a resort property because we have an RV park, full restaurant, casino gaming, and other entertainment, an event center, an Ampitheater, a coffee shop, bars and are located on a lake. You did not report a noise complaint to anyone. We could have taken care of that for you. We do not offer breakfast, only on the weekends. We have several other ways to get food 24/7 on our property. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

We reserved this at the last minute and thought we would be able to sit in hot tub but that has been removed. We would not have stayed here had we known but the room was nice sized and bed was comfortable. The sound proofing is non existent and when the guy next door was talking on the phone at 4:15AM and woke us both up. The restaurant has very limited menu and they do not do take out orders from 6-9PM, so since we very tired and did want to get in the car again we made do with concessions. The decor is very dated staff are not happy to be working there. There is a phone in the room but it doesn't call the front desk. We will not stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had some issues. These could have been taken care of during your stay if we had been aware. When guests report noise, we can send security to quiet other guests. Our property has other options for food other than the dine in restaurant. The hotel is getting outdated but it is next to be remodeled as the casino and event center have been. Hotel staff should be friendly, if they were not we need to know so we can look into the situation. The phones in the rooms go to an answering service that get your requests and questions to the desk. Guests also have a number on your room key holder for guests to text anything you need for faster service. We hope this clears some of the confusion you had.

There were a lot of places throughout the facility that needed freshening up, paint missing, walls scuffed, lighting dim and flooring stained. No coffee in rooms and the Starbucks didn't open until 8 a.m. Yes coffee downstairs but if I'm getting dressed I want good coffee.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lakeside Hotel Casino. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Quiet throughout the night. We ate supper at the buffet - which was beyond fantastic, and finished our fun evening at the casino listening to the live band. Had a great weekend with my siblings! Thanks so much!

We were in the midst of a tornado warning that lasted a long time. Staff took us to a safe place, provided water, chairs, etc. until it was safe to leave the basement.

We were able to remove the bugs coming int he window, but they likely continued to come in. We did call pest control and they have spayed the outside of the windows today on that end of the hall. Our hot tub is out of order, and we do not advertise that we even have one so that guest is not disappointed when they arrive. We hope you will come back and see us again soon.

I regret getting a smoking room the friend that I got it for was not the friend that accompanied me on the trip. It was late at check in and forgot about requesting it and the clerk did not remind me about it. The room was covered with cigarette burns, all the furniture, the bathtub, the windowsill. It was my fault for not changing the room. I had been to a concert and I was to tired to fuss with changing the room. It really smelled of smoke bad. the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. It just needed updated. I got to say most places do not offer a smoking room, but it is a casino. The restaurant situation at the casino/hotel is the worst I have ever seen. No food after 9 or before 9. They used to have a great buffet and I would go out of my way to eat there but that is long gone. When I 1st booked the room I booked for one day and then I called because I need if for 1/2 the next day they don't off 1/2-day rates the best rate that reservations could give me was $143.00 (the room was defiantly not worth that) when I just book it for $80 on Expedia I'm not stupid rebooked for 2 days on Expedia @ $80.

The dining choices were excellent. We had the wonderful prime rib w mashed pots and gravy, but the buffet looked great, as well as the burgers. Reasonably priced! Our room was super quiet! IA at its best! Good location for travelers.

The ladyvthat checked us in was rude and unfriendly. The pool area is fine,but no drinks other than wayer bottles. I get no glass, but some like an adult beverage.
