The host was very friendly and approachable. She gave us information on request. She managed a good balance between giving service while maintaining privacy and space to enjoy our experience.

Property was clean with adequate facilities. The lady who answered phone when I called with a question pre arrival was extremely rude! Very uncalled for and unnecessary.

Such a lovely space, room really clean and tidy everything you need is there. Breakfast was ok. The lady Jessica told me and my friend to basically get changed out of our dressing gowns before eating,( id nipped out for a cigarette amd come back in) which me and friend are not bothered about the fact we should get changed its the fact she said ‘not having breakfast dressed like that ya not’ we thought was extremely rude in the way she said it. Before this we would of loved to stay again. After that we wont be returning!

Refund policy not the best
We had booked this B & B for our trip to the UK. Due to COVID-19, we had to postpone our trip until April of next year. When Hotels.com and I tried to get a refund on our pre-paid reservation, it was refused by Sunny Mount. Sunny Mount looks like a great little place to stay, but due to their policy, we found a different place to stay near Nottingham next year.

Had you actually contact us directly you would have been advised that you could postpone your booking and use it any time in the next 12 month due to the CCP Virus situation. Disappointing to leave a review when you haven’t made direct contact.

Sunny side of life
The Sunny Mount Bed and Breakfast is excellent value for money. The room is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast cannot be faulted from the quality of the products used to its presentation. It is cooked fresh and served at the requested time. All in all the Sunny Mount B&B is well worth a stay.

This is a proper hidden gem. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding - I’ve been in 5* hotels and they are not as good as this. A great experience and a friendly welcoming host

Very comfortable and amazing breakfast
Very clear information given so that we could get into our room quickly. Great location for our visit to see family. Very comfy room with everything we could need, right down to sewing kits! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding and towels were great quality. The owners were very helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. Breakfast was delicious with excellent choice and all freshly cooked - couldn’t fault it in anyway. We will certainly be back on our next visit and have already recommended it to other family members.

My company booked a double room for my business trip. After finished my late meeting with client and got to this B&B at night. While I was trying to get inside place with instruction that they sent to me, a man come out, aggressively pushed me away, I asked him to calm down, tell him that I booked room at this place. After he verified my number, I have been told that he mistakenly giving the room to someone else and referred me to one of his friend B&B, it was single room rather than the double room that I booked. I don't know how does this place get 4 stars in the hotels.com.

The hotel was spot on very comfortable, excellent Breakfasts. My only complaint was the advertised free parking. There is no free parking, parking is on the roadside. I parked outside Hotel and had my car vandalised Nice deep scratch on back end from either a knife or nail. Some nice people about. But hasten to say not the fault of the hotel.

Can not praise this place high enough. A really lovely place. Taxi ride into the city centre only £7 so well worth not paying city parking prices and stopping in some city centre box room. The rooms in this B&B are excellent as was the breakfast 5 stars from me.

A real home from home. Comfortable warm and welcoming.Bed so comfy didn't want to get up in the morning Lovely breakfast! My only comment would be that I would of liked milk replenished during my 2 night stay. I couldn't contact the owners to ask.

Great place!
The B and B is incredibly well decorated with lots of thoughtful touches and a great breakfast. James advised us of the no 45 bus that stops round the corner and took us straight into town at £5 return for a family and runs till 2350....and there’s a Chippy when you return!

Pros for us: 1. Short walk to bus stop to bus route downtown. 2. Quick breakfast. 3. Clean at arrival. 4. Easy self check in. Cons for us: 1. Efficient but impersonal host. 2. No door on ensuite - just a curtain. 3. No daily room clean/refresh. 4. Noisy street. 5. Worn looking premises. 6. Inconsistent shower temperature.

Amazing place. Astounding attention to detail, artistic touches, cleanliness, breakfast, value, exceptionally charming host, etc. (to the host: apologies for getting carried away using the piano... I am an accomplished keyboard player (e.g., Grade 8 with Distinction) - but am well out of practice over many years due to workload, so I can't resist trying to brush up a bit when I see a piano... I hope I have not woken any guests...!)
