Stay was fine until we left the property. We pre-paid for our stay and after we checked out I got a text saying a charge for $700 dollars has been credited to my card. I called about it and they tried claiming we stayed longer, then you changed rooms types. Both of which are not true. Then they claimed they were busy and would call back. They never did. I am currently disputing the charges with my bank. Avoid this place.

The room is laid out well for an extended stay. It was clean and most everything worked. It’s a bit of a tired property, though, just north of the Quarter and business district. and while the staff tries hard, there were lots of problems. The management system was down at check in, creating a guest backup, and and again at check out. Breakfast inconsistently provisioned. Same with the bars, when they were open. Doubt I’d stay there again

This hotel is close to the hussle and bussle of Canal Street, yet far away from all of the noise. I liked how the trolley was only steps away. Being close to Interstate 10 is iffy, but it made doing ride shares easy.

Overall I would highly recommend this establishment the only comment against them I can make was I had to ask maids for more towels and toiletries as the entire building was booked for Mardi Gras and while many stayed only a day or two keeping maids busy I was there a week great staff great hospitality great breakfast with nice rooftop bar really a memorable experience!!

I called the front desk before we booked and they said the trolley was operational! We arrived and found it was closed again. Well for two handicapped seniors it was a real problem going anywhere without going bankrupt. We counted on this being an easy way to get around and inexpensive. We will not stay here again! We will use Marriott again in Florida this month in Florida. We hope you will offer us a deal in New Orleans in the future at your property at 555 Canal st. We stayed here for 10 days over Mardi Gras. The room was clean, spacious and included a free breakfast every morning. We found it really easy to get around from here on public transport and felt safe walking back here at night. The hotel was obviously incredibly busy due to when we were staying there and we did have two emergency alarms go off during our stay (one in the middle of the night) so we had to walk down 12 flights of stairs stand outside in out pyjamas for what felt like ages. No one ever told us what happened. We would absolutely stay there again, all the staff were very kind, and helpful.
