Overall good experience but…
Overall good experience. Room was clean and had a great balcony view of the lake. Having a fireplace in the room was a nice feature to have with the winter weather. Would have been nice if fireplace settings could be adjusted. We did notice that the shower would leak with use. But otherwise no serious issues during our stay and staff were nice. I would just recommend that if childfree couples are planning to stay that they be conscientious of school vacations. This seemed to be a popular place for families with kids to book. And parents seemed to let their kids run free during the time we were staying. Such as kids running around the lounge area near the lobby and running up and down hallways knocking on doors and slamming doors to their rooms.

When paying $400 per night, you would expect the finer things. They were various things broken in the room, including the bathroom sink. Our favorite breakfast place has been closed indefinitely in the hotel. I’ve had better stays.

The property was conveniently located and the dining options were excellent. The beds were wonderful and very comfy. The lake, located right across the street, was beautiful as were the paths around it. The only complaint we had was that the front desk only had someone there the afternoon we checked in. The remainder of our stay, a sign was posted on the desk that asked guests to call one of 2 numbers, depending on the time of day, if you needed anything. We would stay here again if in the area.

Never received access to room
Room was not available at scheduled check in time. Finally recieved keys at 915pm but keys would not work and could not access the room. Front desk could not fix the problem due to new lock system. Had to drive 2.5 hours home lare at night in the rain and never saw the room.

We loved our stay so much. I was a little apprehensive, whether or not it would be worth the extra to book this hotel versus all the properties we stayed at Church Landing. The views were beautiful. The room was immaculate. We loved having drinks at the bar overlooking the lake. We ate every meal in the restaurant and the manager was super nice, as well as the bartender. Our housekeeper was awesome too. Seriously you don’t even need to leave the property. The food and drinks were great. Everyone was super helpful. I wrote this review because some people only write reviews when they’re unhappy or they’re just unhappy in general. I am including a current picture, so you know that the rooms are in good condition.

The location was great but the carpet is stained. The pool was broken. The way the stairs are for bottom floor seem sketchy. The lobby was full of boxes . Just not inviting. I’d have stayed x the street ( this is what I thought I booked ) if I could have switched.

Quaint on the lake
This hotel was charming. We loved the decor and especially the cushioned window nook overlooking the lake. We attended a wedding and it was lovely. My only small complaint was that our room was dusty and the door had a large space between it and the floor so we felt we had to whisper as to not broadcast our conversation in the room.

It's not so much that it was dirty, it's that it's badly in need of an upgrade. Peeling wallpaper, dingy carpets, woodwork that could use some love, and a horrible odor throughout the building. Kind of cleaning fluid smell trying to hide mildew and decay. The surrounding area was nice and the Cabin restaurant and its staff were terrific. But nothing particularly good about the hotel itself. I also wasn't a fan of after a 5-hour drive having to get back in the car and go through traffic to a different property to check in. Of the 6-7 places we stayed on our vacation, this suffered in comparison.

Loved the boat docks on the water since we rented a boat. The cleaning staff was so helpful and accommodating. There are resteraunts and activities right on site all walking distance.

We stayed at Mill Falls for two nights, the room was absolutely adorable. My only complaints would be that there is no safe inside the room, the carpet seemed like it had not been vacuumed, and only one side of the bathroom mirror was lit. Other than those minor things in the room, the location and property were gorgeous. They have a lot to offer, a lot of activities to partake in, and good food options nearby. There are plenty of walkable attractions as well. We would definitely stay here again.
