Lovely gardens, lovely hotel.
Great hotel. Clean. Lovely. Heaps of amenities in room. Beautiful gardens. Fantastic massage. Overall, so so nice. It's hotels only fault... no lift. We were on the 4th floor so it was a lot of stairs!! I request that Reservations staff let guests know that there is no lift on arrival, and check if they are okay with so many stairs - if we had have known, we would have requested a room on the 1st or 2nd floor as we had a 1-year-old child with us.

Disorganised! I booked during the Christmas period. They didn’t know how many rooms were available. As a result of overbooking, I was asked to vacate my room on Christmas day. They also shutdown their online booking service because they didn’t have the internal infrastructure to monitor bookings. There’s no lift and the stairs are uneven, which poses a hazard. Sadly, there aren’t many comparable options in terms of amenities locally (e.g. spa, pool). However, I would recommend Mount Elgon Hotel as an alternative stay. It’s smaller, but the overall service is better and has the standard of amenities.

This place was a hidden treasure in beautiful Mbale. The services and staff were impeccable. Thank Mbale Hotel 🏨 resort special thanks to Madame Gloria Mukite and Madame Lillian Namataka for special services they were like family. Highly recommended.

Vi havde to dejlige overnatninger på Mbale Resort Hotel, der virkelig ligger i skønne omgivelser! Værelset er stort og renligt, sengen er virkelig dejlig, fint badeværelse, skøn altan. Der er ingen myggenet, da værelset bliver sprayet osv, vi havde dog nogle enkelte myg på værelset på trods af lukkede altandøre. Personalet er venlige, og vi følte os meget velkomne. Restauranten var også god, morgenmaden var lækker (især ift. alternativet andre steder i Mbale). Poolområdet var hyggeligt, dog kan man risikere en del insekter i poolen, hvis man kommer tidligt (inden de bliver fjernet). Både fitness og health club var fine (vi fik begge aromamassage, som var skøn :-) ). Vil helt sikkert anbefale dette hotel! Vi vil komme tilbage, hvis vi er i området :-) Mvh Maiken og Amalie

The only problems we had revolved around the time it took to get dinner. The first night we waited 2 hours and 40 minutes for our dinner order - even those who only ordered a smoothie waited this long even on repeated requests to bring the smoothies out before dinner was served. We requested bottles of water 4 times over the span of an hour before they were received. We were a large group and service did improve somewhat each night we were there. I have a feeling that the reduced staff due to COVID made things take longer than usual. One tip is to always order ahead :)

Well i had a very great night at the resort hotel, the space, balcon, tea making place within the room that was so amazing,the small refrigerator,very clean room, WiFi,the bed its self was so comfortable. I generally liked the service at Mbale resort Hotel

A great place to stay
Great staff and friendly. One problem. But it’s important. The food and coffee - morning breakfast. The bread has a strange taste and the coffee was terrible. I suggested you find regular bread that foreigners are accustomed to versus what you put out to eat. Also, I don’t know how you do it but the coffee is so weak that it’s not drinkable. Finally the Buffett - some nights there was little food selection. One time they even told me to order from the menu because there was not enough. And this was early in the evening not end of night

Best hotel in Mbale. We are pretty much regulars here now, and the service really stands out. Held our introduction and engagement party, and the team through everything together in two days-Moliro and his team were spectacular! Hands down, a great hotel!!

My stay at Mbale Resort...
Location of the hotel is good and quiet. Check-in process was a mess I.e miss allocation of rooms. Contents of the room allocated to me were sub standard and filled mosquitoe. I requested to change rooms but I was told the hotel was full and that I had to wait until the following day. Otherwise the food was good. I managed to swap rooms too with the guests I came with and changes were eventually made to my room.

Wonderful place to stay if you are in Mbale
Lovely hotel and grounds, awoke to amazing symphony of bird calls. Generous delicious breakfast buffet included. Has spa, pool, gym included. Staff was gracious and helpful. Genuinely looking forward to staying there again on my next visit. Only minor complaint - no hot water when I arrived late at night, just lukewarm. By the morning, hot water was back, which was a relief since I really prefer hot water showers, though I have found many hotels in E. Africa don't have it or don't have it reliably.
