"The hotel is near Charlestown casino and racetrack, but not close enough to have noises from the activity there bother us. We could see the track in the distance. The gym was adequate and the free morning breakfasts were great. During the week they even had brown bag snack packs you could take with fruit, Peanutbutter and jelly, small bagel and small bottle of water. That was an unexpected treat. "

"Had a nice overnight stay. Would definitely return to this hotel when we travel I-81. Sierra at the counter was so nice and Cindy (spelling?) was also so helpful at breakfast. The hotel was clean and very functional. It had good ratings when I looked for a place to stay and I agree with it good rating. "

"I expected a rough but genuine attempt at a Bavarian style getaway for our wedding anniversary, but was impressed to find it very much exceeded expectations. Our waiter for dinner(Robert) was amazing and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be returning! "

"Staff were very nice and helpful however, our room had a shower door that leaked and our room was below a mechanical fan/ noise that was maybe on the roof. It was loudest in the bathroom but could still be heard in the bedroom with the door closed. We stayed in room 522. Otherwise our stay would have been a 5. Thank you"

"Really great bar in this hotel with solid food and drink offerings. Hotel facilities could use an update but overall good experience and very comfortable bed. Shepherdstown is a great little town to visit! "
