Our stay was amazing and the staff was exceptional with their attention to detail. The only recommendation we have is to have a dinner menu that is more extensive including tapas or pállela.

Everything about this hotel was spectacular! What an amazing place to relax and enjoy the finer things in life. Spent two nights here for a romantic birthday celebration and myself and partner couldn’t have been more pleased. Beautiful property inside and out, loved walking the gardens/landscaping. Amazing food at both restaurants (the meal at Sa Clastra was incredible and a great foodie experience). If you can afford to stay here, you should.

Poor front desk service. No effort to be helpful or orient us to the amenities. We didn’t get the room we requested and there was no apology or discount. Both restaurants were closed on night because of another event but there was no notice.

Beautiful property, with colourful, manicured gardens, picturesque spot for the pool and the outdoor dining area. Great location to relax, but not exactly in the thick of things if you want a pulsing scene. 5/5 for the property and facilities but 3-4 for service, which was average/regimented rather than personalised.

A special hotel in the hills
Amazing and relaxing hotel. A glorious converted castle in the hills with a fabulous restarant and spa (though expensive!). A perfect place to get away from it all with a gorgeous pool and the very best breadkfast! Comfortable beds and rooms and very friendly service.

Very good, tranquil hotel. Would recommend.
Overall, the hotel is exceptional. Rooms are spacious and well looked after, service in general is excellent if a little bit formal and at times inconsistent. Food all round is excellent in both restaurants. I’d say the breakfast is ok but probably the least good of the food options. Spa is great, as is the pool. I’d definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel and great service - only thing I would recoomed is that they be a little more generous with water for guests, we had to ask for water twice during turn down because housekeeping kept 'forgetting' when we asked for more water we were referred to our minibar...it was provided when we outlined the situation but nonetheless not impressive at all for what is otherwise a total 5 star experience. Housekeeping should be better trained.

Lovely hotel in beautiful gardens
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel in late July. Marked down facilities because there is limited area outside to enjoy a drink or for relaxation and because the sun beds around the pool are lined up very close to each other. There did seem to be a lack of communication between reception and the restaurant for reservations but otherwise everything was very well organized. The gardens, spa and our room was outstanding.

Great place
Beautiful property although a couple of niggles with the service. They had the opera on which meant the restaurants were shut without prior notice. Also they moved the umbrellas to satisfy other guests and exposed us to the sun which could have been avoided if they politely checked with us in advance.

Great hotel but overpriced
Castell Son Claret is a great hotel and we enjoyed our stay, but I must conclude is is overpriced for what it offers. It would be a five star rating if the price was 400-500 EURO, but compared to luxury hotels in rest of Europe, USA or Asia I have stayed at, its 2-3 times too expensive.

Gorgeous property with horrific staff
The property & facilities at Castell Son Claret is everything you pull up hoping for and more. The castle is magnificent, the patio is spectacular, and the pool area is private and comfortable. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the front desk staff. They asked if we'd like any reservations made for us. The hotel has a renowned restaurant on site called Zaranda. I was told that there were no openings in the restaurant for the duration of my stay. I offered to be extremely flexible, and said I would take a reservation at any time of day. I was told that there wasn't any openings, day or night that could be made available. When your hotel is 30 minutes to the nearest town, you'd think they would make it a priority to ensure their hotel guests can get a table. On day 2 we booked massages. The indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and showers were great, but to our surprise it was our waiter from the pool who was assigned as our therapist. I asked him if he was a waiter or massage therapist, to which he replied, he does a lot at the hotel? Weird. After a mediocre massage, we moved on. We then booked an excursion through the hotel. Excursion was a 90 minute drive. We went to leave in the morning and were given no information. They didn't have the name of company, name of tour guide, or where we were supposed to meet. We drove down 90 minutes, found them, and learned the front desk staff booked us on wrong tour. No apologies, just a $50 cancellation charge.

Stunning!
This hotel is stunning! We will return for sure. It looks fantastic and sits in some lovely grounds away from any noise. Lovely courtyard; outdoor eating area; and lounging by the pool area with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. On arrival the staff were helpful and attentive and the tapas we had in the bar area with various drinks were all served quickly and looked and tasted delicious. Our room was spacious, well appointed and had a nice view of the internal courtyard area. We ate in the restaurant (not the Michelin one!) and the meal was excellent and throughout the evening the service was very professional and we felt well looked after. Breakfast is a real treat! You can eat outside in the courtyard overlooking the pool and surrounding hills and the choice of food is excellent and as always, the staff were really friendly and helpful, making the whole stay feel very relaxing and enjoyable. We lounged by the pool on checkout day and you can get drinks at the pool area from very friendly staff and we felt in no hurry to leave! And now for the one disappointment! Our ensuite walk in shower in our room mysteriously flooded on use causing the whole of the bathroom floor to become a lake! We reported it immediately and reception assured us they would tend to the problem immediately. As we were checking out that morning we don't know if it has been fixed as work was still going on as we left but they had dried the floor and cleaned the bathroom anyway.

problem with room, not dealt with quick enough
air con smelt of sewage upon entering although still given room, not changed until 1am the following night/ morning after our first night, what proposed in terms of compensation or for the inconvenience was menial.
