"My husband and I have been staying at the Budget Lodge since July 3rd, and we absolutely love it. It is ran by Bishop Ramsey who has been more than hospitable, understanding, and accommodating. The hotel used to have a horrible reputation and in the past 5 years he has completely turned this place around under his ownership. "My friend and I stayed here for a girls' weekend. Although the weather was snow/icy and cold, there was plenty to do in the area. The home alone was enough for us to stay warm and comfortable in. "All the positive reviews were true, as is the property description. The whole place is new, the view is gorgeous, you can literally throw a stone from the large deck into the river. A few things not often mentioned - the wifi is great. My wife and I had to work a few days and we could both be on video calls at the same time. The kayak launch is great - we didn't see a better set up during our paddles either up or down the river. There are a ton of outlets. 14 above the kitchen counters. I always bring a few power strips to rentals just in case but none were needed here. The table and silverware were matching sets - this was not filled with castoffs from another house. I met John when he was next door. Very nice guy, genuinely wanted us to have a great stay. This is my first review for VRBO but this place was so good, I wanted to let people know that it's legit."
