Cold hellhole
OK service. Room large, but that’s the only positive. Cold, could not be heated. Thin duvet, slept poorly. Run-down and spartan room. In the morning had to exit through a fire escape in the back.

Good service
It was basic but that was all i needed for one night. Staff friendly and helpful. I was upgraded to twin room as manager not happy about coditon of single room. I thought it was fine for price I paid. Upgraded not charged any extra and the bar had German wheat beer on draft fine for me.

Not ideal if you want a shower
Stayed before, it is basic and accordingly cheap, and the pub downstairs is nice enough. Unfortunately on this occasion there were no towels provided in my room, which I didn't realise until I got back from dinner (I went out because the pub kitchen was closed), and the bathroom facilities, which were positively falling apart last time I stayed, hadn't really been maintained at all.
