The breakfast was just not it, no hot food served at all in a pack it was from fridge breakfast bar, apple, crosant, orange juice and yoghurt is that what I really paid the extra for ? The queen room is tiny

Below average stay
My room was okay when I entered it. I felt like it was manageable until i decided that I want to wash my hands and take a shower! The sink was completely clogged and would not drain itself properly at all. It also left a horrible residue of nasty dirt. The beds are quite uncomfortable. I did not have a good nights rest! Then that morning there was no hot water at all in my room and unfortunately the rooms do not have a telephone, you have to whatsapp reception which really annoyed me too. I complained via text and they offered to swap rooms for me. They did not however apologise for the inconvenience at all. My new room was alot better. But I paid for breakfast however there was non. No restaurant in the hotel was available and customer service is below average! Not at all professional in the least. Quite unhappy with my stay. I would not recommend it. Not all the lights in the room work either. and the fire alarm went off at 2am in the morning!!! Twice with again No apology. Horrible service. Definitely would NOT recommend!!!

Comfortable and good value for what I paid
I stayed for one night as I had a meeting in London the next day. The hotel was undergoing renovations when I stayed. The car park is easily accessible but costs £16 per night which is very expensive. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was clean and modern. I did not stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on the food quality.

Renovation work being carried out - room was very clean and bathroom looked newly renovated as extra clean - no complaints for price paid - although did state breakfast included on ad but no breakfast included!

Great refurbed rooms!
The refurbished rooms are really good. Although we were possibly the only guests due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the staff could not have been more helpful. They are a credit to the hotel. The room was bright, the new bathroom excellent, with lovely hot shower.

Great location to the Excel. Great having bar/restaurant attached to hotel where they serve meals late. Only downside was our heating in room did not work

the room had no heating and drafty windows it was freezing. we were moved to another room, sadly it was on a floor full of kids trip and they were extremely noisy til about 1 am, running along corridors, banging on doors, shouting, laughing loud, play music loud, until security told them off. dinner wasnt that great. breakfast was ok and rooms were clean

Great staff
There were works going on amd near the hotel which I never knew about which resulted in a drilling and banging all night. No hot veggie option at brekkie either other tban beans and hash browns which was a shame and only side plates no larger plates which was odd. Overall, not an unpleasant stay and all the staff encountered were fab. Just could of done with some sleep!

Clean, quiet, well equipped hotel near ExCel
Clean, well equipped room with plenty of power and usb points. Great choice of buffet breakfast and adjacent pub serving excellent food in the evening. Bistro bar with coffee and snacks for during the day. Directly opposite train link but hotel is surprisingly quiet given location. Ideally located for London ExCel which is a short walk away.

Never miss a beat!
This was our 2nd time staying at ibis Styles London Excel. Seeing a gig at the O2 we were looking for a hotel in the area and this one ticks all the boxes. Great service, nice rooms, good breakfast & a pub attached - what more could you ask for!

Was a nice hotel in a quiet place. Everything was good apart from when the cleaners tried to come into my room at 8;30 and scared the life out of me especially as I was not wearing any trousers. I am aware there is a sign you can put on the door but 8;30am when check out is not until 11am is not an acceptable time to let yourself into someone’s room to see if they are still in there

We arrived on a day when the door cards weren't working and the pressure on the staff to get everything sorted out when it was a technical issue was huge. The staff were amazing - helpful, patient and calm, even when faced very disgruntled guests. As for the rest of the hotel, it was OK - breakfast was really nice, accessed up something akin to a prison staircase, pub area was OK, again with very helpful staff, our room (an apartment) was huge and really well equipped, although a bit fusty. The whole place just needs a bit of a refurb and it'll be great - the car park at the back looks pretty dodgy, as does the rear of the hotel for example. Location is great, a minute from Custom House DLR and the ExCel with really good eating options nearby. We'll definitely be back.

Great choice for ExCeL and good rooms.
Comfortable, clean and tidy room, exactly as described. Very convenient for ExCeL and train links, great pub downstairs. Nothing to not like. :-)

Lovely staff but the room had no hot water in the sink and no heating so a heater was provided. We also had to change rooms and the key lock was broken. The staff were really nice but let down by the corporation.

pub was recommended for food, 1st night good, second night asked for two different meals and got a sorry were not doing that tonight not enough people ask for it, if this is so, then why have something on the menu you cannot provide. poor service on that and false advertising, or misleading info on the menu.

The hotel itself was nice enough, the pub restaurant attached to the hotel was nice enough average pub-style food. The room was freezing and helpfully the window had also been left open. Asked for the heating to be looked at as it was blowing out cold air. The hotel has a texting system for faults, the heating was not looked at. At breakfast, we heard a member of staff saying the heating is broken. Duvet was quite thin almost a summer duvet,so we slept in our hoodies.

We found the room a bit on the small side. Everything was clean and tidy staff were very helpful. But by the description we thought it was closer to the O2 arena than it was otherwise we would have chosen a hotel on the Greenwich side

The web site states its 1.5 miles to Charlton AFC on arrival we found it to be 5.1 miles very disappointing. Apart from that everything else was fine with an excellent choice of breakfast

Great location to nip in and out of London but primarily very good value for money. Needed two rooms (one for an overseas visitor) and it was very easy and convenient to book. Rooms comfortable & practical and breakfast adequate.
