"Extremely impressed with the Duke of Edinburgh Very clean, comfortable and peaceful The gentleman on reception was very kind when I asked for a quiet room, as had to be up early for work so needed a solid nights sleep Could not fault it in any way Very good value too ! Highly recommend "

"We've stayed here several times over the years and we love the place. Stayed here this time to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and again wasn't disappointed. Staff are all friendly and attentive especially front of house and in particular Patrick friendly, professional and full of advice and tips. Greeted at reception with complimentary glass of prosecco and a card in the room wish us a Happy Anniversary. Room was large and with a wonderful view of the lake. We had already booked an outside restaurant for dinner although the Asian fusion restaurant looks amazing so we'll try that next time we stay. For a small fee, we were chauffeur driven to our restaurant in Windemere in the new Bentley which was made the occasion much more special. Can't fault the hotel, staff and service here. Highly recommended. "

"The staff were especially amazing and helped us with many questions. We loved the facilities and the location. It was very walkable to the train station and into Penrith. The restaurant has a great menu and good selection of wines. "
