Great for a group
Location was great. Plenty of room for a group of friends and family There was no coffeemaker and kitchen did not have pans so would recommend bringing your own if you plan to cook meals

Great island getaway
We had a lovely time enjoying the island. Our two families were comfortable in this charming home. We played with the kids in the beautiful spacious yard and enjoyed making dinners together in the well stocked kitchen.

Annual Girls' Trip
This home was THE perfect place to stay on Madeline Island. We could walk into town, had a great bonfire pit, great porch to sit and watch people go by, etc. We would definitely rent again!

Great place for a girls weekend
My group has been coming to Madeleine island for 30+ years. First time renting this property. It was perfect for us. Plenty of room, great outdoor spaces. A beautiful bar area. Within walking distance to town. Our 1st night we were visited by a bear! He left us alone but enjoyed the garbage! Property owner was quick to respond and even came to pick up and take the garbage away. We had a great time and would definitely rent this house again! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, Jackie ( my island name)

Family Vacay 2022
Our family of 12 stayed in this beautiful Farmhouse on Madeline Island! The kitchen was well stocked, the house was very, very, clean, and the house was spacious! We loved all the room to be seated; in the living room, dining room, enclosed porch, and front porch! What a nice treat to have a commercial ice maker! Clair, our host, responded promptly to any questions we had. The Island was wonderful; we especially enjoyed the beautiful sandy beaches and magnificent waters of Lake Superior! We will definitely be back!

Great location!
I eyed up this property the summer before when we were staying at another place down the road. It was great to have AC and comfortable beds. PLUS, we loved using the hiking path which is right down the road. We hiked through the woods every morning, explored town and then hiked back.

Just what we needed
This house was just what we needed. We eloped on the island and had a small number of family and friends celebrate with us. It was raining so we were unable to spend time in the yard, but the front porch and bar area were a fine backup. The host was flexible and kind to us. We would recommend a stay on this property to anyone!

I really enjoy to stay in the place, really nice and conform beds and pillows, if you goin to stay here bring your own salt and pepper, sugar and oil, they have all the kitchen utensils, really nice area to stay, everything is close to the house like 3 min driving, love the places for a fire pit, there is a scary frame for a girl, There is a book in the house the tells you a history of a girl who is missing in the house, and now everyone said she is living in the basement, even that she is not longer with us with respect her place because at some point it was her house. There is a picture frame of her in the hallway.

Clair's lovely home was perfect for 5 friends old friends to getaway and relax. Yard and Deck are beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the large dining room table perfect for playing games. We absolutely LOVED Madeline Island and would definitely recommend Claire's home as a place to stay.

Making Memories
Our family came from everywhere to meet on Madeline Island for a few days. On our first night, we enjoyed the beautiful deck on the back of the house for cocktails and dinner. On our second night, we laughed and told jokes around the fire pit. On our last night, as the rain fell outside, we all gathered in the cozy bar. The 4 bedrooms were all tidy and comfortable. My 90-year-old mother appreciated the downstairs bedroom, as stairs are hard for her. And we all loved the large dining room table for meals, card games, and general good times. I highly recommend this property.

Great stay!
The house had everything we needed for a quiet NYE in. There was plenty of space to spread out. Clair was easy to communicate with as plans evolved and had the house ready for us early! The house is very close to the downtown area on Madeline Island and also very accessible to the park. We are very much looking forward to coming back in the summer!

Fall Get Away
Our extended family of adults and teenagers stayed at the house over a long weekend in late October. Although many places in LaPointe and Bayfield were already closed for the , we enjoyed hiking and exploring the island. The house had everything we needed to cook for the family. We would stay again!

Wonderful Place!!!
I've grown up coming to Madeline Island and have always enjoyed bring up friends that have never experienced "Island Time". I brought a larger group this year and was very surprised and happy about how well the house accommodated all of us. We had enough room to enjoy time together and apart. The house was well maintained and we loved the bar room for late nights. I will look at renting this location or other locations from Clair in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

This property is not worth the price listed. Property has broken knobs, bathroom was the bad shape, water clogs..doors lock were not working..not clean house. There are no hand soaps, body wash in any bathrooms. Sliding doors in bedrooms were not working. No laundry. No extra blankets. The grill was way too dirty you don't feel to cook on its anything. The owner is also money-minded. He will do everything to take away the deposit. I stayed in so many properties and never ever had this kind of experience with the owner.

Perfect family getaway
This property was a great choice for our family with spacious bedrooms, large living and dining rooms, nice outdoor space, and even a bonus room with wet bar and seating. The owners were very responsive in answering questions. Madeline Island is beautiful with fun shops and restaurants, a great historical museum, and friendly people.

Madeline Island v2.0
This is our only second trip to Madeline Island and once again the island delivers. So much to do and see. I highly recommend heading to the beach and getting your toes in the sand and feeling the refreshing (refreshing = brisk) waters of Lake Superior. So great and you can see your feet as you walk out. Not your typical Minnesota lake. The property was great for a large family (or two) with kids in tow. There are 5 bedrooms with one of those being a "bunk house" with two twin bunks. Lots of room for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious and the dining area has a large table with plenty of chairs. There are three decks. Front porch, upper porch, and a large back deck for grilling and chilling. Also plenty of yard space to kick a ball around or play bocce, etc. The house is perfect for a fun family gathering from 4 to 14 depending on how many you have in your group. Enjoy! I know that we did!!
