April at the beach
Wonderful two weeks at the Pearl. Our go to spot for time at the Outer Banks. Great weather and pleasant weather. George and Buster just love going to the beach with us!!

Nice place and good fit for our family
My wife, me and our 17-year old stayed here in March 2024. Clean and very comfortable. Has all the amenities we needed and a pretty full kitchen plus washer and dryer. Central location and easy parking. Furniture is nice. Full streaming options. Shower OK. Mindy's instructions were clear and was easy to enter the home. She was also responsive. Would stay here again.

20th wedding anniversary trip
DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! We had an amazing time. Check in was seamless. The owners were MORE than helpful. House was perfect for my wife and I. First time we’ve been to the Outer Banks and we will be back! And hopefully rent the same place. Charcoal grill, close to the beach and the little store next door has the BEST sandwiches. House was clean, updated and very comfortable. Again, I can not emphasize enough how awesome the owners are. Any questions that we had, they got right back to us and made sure everything was ok. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven on earth with us. I hope we left everything as it was when we arrived . We would love to come back! Chad and Andrea.

Fantastic stay!
We stayed for 2 months with our pups to escape the winter snow of New England. Location is excellent: beach, groceries, restaurants, just about everything is close by. Home is clean, comfortable, everything you could ask for. Beautiful, secure fenced-in backyard. Would give Ocean Pearl 10 Stars if we could! Absolutely one of the loveliest, most comfortable VRBO stays we’ve experienced.

Wonderful House
We usually stay at a hotel when we go to the outerbanks but with furbabies you are limited as to where you stay. So I rented this place! I loved having a fenced in back yard! And because it was off season it was quiet! We will definetly go back again! The hosts were very nice. Thankfully we had no issues so never had to contact them during our stay.

Nice place to stay with our dogs
This is a nice little place to stay especially if you have your fur-babies along for the trip. The enclosed back porch was fantastic along with the fenced in yard. Property owners were very nice and pleasant to deal with.

Loved Ocean Pearl
Me and my wife just got back from a stay at Ocean Pearl. We absolutely loved this house and it was everything you would want in a nice vacation house….close to the beach, clean, nicely decorated, all the amenities, and a nice fenced in yard for our dogs. Definitely would recommend and will definitely come back for sure.

Great vacation spot!
We had a great time! The vacation house is only a walk away from the beach. The fenced in yard with the outdoor shower made it a very easy experience for our dog.

Another satisfying stay.
This was my 2nd year stayin at this property and i was just as pleased with everything as i was last year. The location couldnt be more perfect and the house has everything we needed (my favorite part is the outside shower). I plan on staying here again.

The Perfect Small Cottage For You (and your pets!)
Adorable retro cottage in a perfect location! Everything was VERY clean and we had all the amenities we needed for making snacks and small meals for daytime and when we didn’t feel like going out for dinner. Plenty of dressers and closet space to keep things tidy. Lots of comfortable seating in the living area for reading or watching TV. With the home being on a beach access road, it's actually very quiet - the surrounding homes are a mix of full time resident and smaller vacation homes. No big party joints. The backyard is amazing, for one thing, it's BIG for an OBX yard and the fence is 6' except the shorter fence facing the driveway. Our dogs LOVED being able to go in and out without having to gear up for a walk (especially our senior dog). Plus there's shade from the small trees and NO prickly pear, sand spurs or burrs to be picking out of their (or your) feet. Beach access is pretty much across the street, so no having to load up the car with gear and drive. Soundside access is maybe a 10 minute drive for the littles or non-swimmers. Owners are very nice and communication with them was great. Stress-free check in and check out. We had been looking for a new place to stay after the cottage we had been returning to for nearly ten years became a full time residence for its owners - and we found it for sure! We will be back next year, hopefully a couple of times.

Home away from home
This is our 2nd time staying at the ocean pearl and another fantastic experience. Cant wait to make it 3! Close promiximity to everything you would want and need. Love beach access right across the street, doggies loves the fenced in back yard and the tile floors to keep them cool. Ocean Pearl is our home away from home when in the OBX.

Pawsitively great stay!
We loved our stay at the Ocean Pearl! Having access to a fenced area to give the dogs an outside space where they didn’t have to be leashes was a huge factor in my decision to stay here and it didn’t disappoint. Joplin and Hendrix loved exploring the yard and soaking up some sun, and the house was a great size for the pups, me, and my mom! Having one floor made it easier for my mom to get around, and beach access right across the street was a dream! The place was clean and comfortable, hosts were quick to respond if needed, and we were very happy with our stay! We plan to be repeat guests!

Another great stay at the Ocean Pearl
This is our second summer staying at the Ocean Pearl and we loved every minute. Our dog loved sunbathing in the backyard. I was recently laid off, and 6 blissful days in OBX was exactly what we needed. We had sunshine every day and love how centrally located the Ocean Pearl is. Always clean, always easy to communicate with the owners...we want to see if we can come back in the off season AND next summer too. The Ocean Pearl has a piece of our hearts for sure.

A great little cottage in the perfect spot.
Cottage is clean, well appointed and in a super location. The back yard is a huge asset. Neighbors were nice too. I live in this street for 7 years back in 2001-7. Still as nice as ever. The owners were super to deal with. The dogs allowed was a super wonderful thing. They both loved the the yard and walks on the beach. Definitely will stay again with these owners!

First stay but definitely won't be the last!
Can't say enough good things about our stay at the Ocean Pearl! House and the fenced yard was perfect for the both of us and our 2 dogs. Location can't be beat, nestled between the Stop n Shop with everything you could possibly need (especially the breakfast bagels and subs) and the Dairy Queen. And only steps to the beach! Which has handicap ramp access, that was greatly appreciated by my 12 year old German Shepherd. Communication with the owners was great, and the house had everything we could have needed and more. Already planning our next year's vacation to come back!!

Location Location Location!!! You can not find a better location!!! We loved this 50s style beach cottage!!! It’s exactly what we wanted!!! My wife and I with our teenage daughter and golden retriever had a wonderful stay!!! This property is close to everything, and there’s a beachwear/deli gas station right next door!!! Cozy Cottage Steps from the Atlantic
Overall a very very nice place to stay. We were here during the shoulder season so it was NOT busy. Had great access to beach and area attractions without traffic or lots of people. Glad we got to experience the area while it was quiet. Not a lot of eateries open but we found what we needed. The highlight of our trip was coming back to a QUIET homelike setting……a real plus from hotels. We didn’t use the back yard but another real plus for BBQs and just hanging out especially for dog owners. The Cottage was definitely ready for beach users with chairs and outdoor shower (available April 1st). Nice access to beach as well 5 minute walk and one street to cross then you are there! Probably BUSY during high season since it sooooo close. Still Highly recommend staying here.

A very cozy place
The Ocean Pearl is cozy and comfortable. It is so nice and clean and has everything you need. The decor and furnishings are cheerful and bright. The back yard is a private place to read or have a lunch. Access to the beach is just a three-minute walk away for a spontaneous afternoon walk or evening stroll. The house is close to everything but is tucked away on a quiet street. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. They responded very quickly when we contacted them.

You Won’t Regret Staying at the Ocean Pearl
We love staying at the Ocean Pearl with our two dogs! The house is the perfect size for the two of us and the backyard is great for our dogs. It is less than a block from the beach. The kitchen has the fundamentals for cooking in as well as a full size fridge with ice maker, and a full size stove. The microwave works well to reheat leftovers from eating out! There is wonderfully comfortable furniture, the tvs work great, and the house is always clean! We highly recommend the Ocean Pearl for your vacation needs!

Second time guess
Me and mom stayed here in January and enjoyed it so decided to come back when it was a tad bit warmer but still not a lot of people. We had an absolute blast! The property was great once again clean and we felt Right at home. Even my fur baby was comfortable and remembered being there. The owners checked in to make sure we got in as well as made sure we did not need anything. Definitely Looking at dates for next year. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

Great little beach house just across the road from beach access!
Had wonderful week long stay here. The Stop 'n Shop next door was our go-to breakfast location. Fenced in back yard was awesome for our dogs, and the house was clean and well maintained. Do not hesitate to stay here if you're looking for a cozy house close to the beach! 10000% pet friendly!

A cozy slice of beach heaven
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Ocean Pearl. The home was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. My daughter loved her bedroom so much that I had to bribe her with snacks to come to the beach. Benji had an absolute blast zooming around the spacious backyard. The proximity to the beach was the cherry on top for me. Literally pack the cart and walk across the street and bam you’ve got toes in the sand. So lovely to just roll out of bed, make a pot of coffee and meander over to watch the breathtaking sunrise every morning. We enjoyed our stay so much and we hope to make it an annual family tradition. The hosts were wonderful. 10/10 would recommend ❤️

Wonderful family vacation home

Ocean Pearl
We love the Ocean Pearl. Mindy and Donnie are wonderful hosts. The location is perfect and the house is adorable. This was our 2nd trip to OBX and it didn't disappoint!! We are coming back next summer.

We LOVE the OceanPearl!
We love the Ocean Pearl and cannot wait to get back there! It is always clean, and comfy. 2 min walk to the beach! We can bring our fur babies ! Always our favorite place to stay!!

Perfect getaway
The Ocean Pearl was wonderful getaway. Location was perfect right across the road from beach access many late nights I sat outside listening to the waves crashing onto the beach. Fenced in yard for our fur babies. Checking in was the easiest to do, Mindy even checked on us when we hadn’t checked in by 4 (traffic was a nightmare). Overall I loved it I would stay again and recommend others to stay.

AMAZING!
Clean, beautiful home. Perfect for our family. 3 adults and 2 doggos. Yard was perfect. Dogs enjoyed the yard very much. Very close to everything. Will be back for sure. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Can't wait to go back
We love the Ocean Pearl! Cozy and furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay and a day at the beach, including umbrella and chairs . We loved being across the street from the beach, and next door to the Stop n Shop - great breakfast sandwiches. We enjoyed grilling out a couple nights in the backyard. So nice to have the yard for our dog too. I also loved the keyless lock - great not to have to keep track of a key when you going in and out. We can't wait to go back to OBX and stay at the Ocean Pearl.

You'll Love it at the Ocean Pearl!
This rental was perfect for us. It felt like home and was equipped with just about everything you might need. A short walk to the beach, fenced-in back yard was great, it was decorated nicely and it was clean. The owners, Mindy and Donnie, are very nice. We highly recommend the Ocean Pearl.

Absolutely love this place . Super cute and cozy with a nice fence yard for the pups right across the street from the beach entrance . Walking distance to many restaurants and there’s a convenience store right behind it . Super nice and quiet area . Can’t wait to book again

Perfect for us
Ocean Pearl is comfortable. We stayed for an extended time and enjoyed it. It is close to everything we wanted- the beach, restaurants, grocery stores, and in our case dog parks. At the house the fenced back yard is wonderful for our pups.

Perfect for the winter
My mom and I needed to get away for a bit and wanted to go to the beach. But with COVID were concerned that it would be crowded. We were totally wrong we were at a perfect place that was clean pet friendly and easily accessible to all we wanted to do. I enjoyed that we were a block from the beach and had a fenced in back yard. They had a ton of accommodations such as beach chairs washer and dryer and other stuff if you needed it. It was quiet and everything was clean. I was able to check in with the owners if I needed anything but they have a book detailing things about the house and how to use everything. I will definitely be staying again when I am in the area!
