Had a lovely stay here! There is a trail leading to the Hercules monument if you'd like a hike (but not horribly hard) right across the street. There are a few close dining options and the restaurant at the hotel was great (italian options). Breakfast was very good. The staff was super helpful as well and parking was right on the property. My only negative was that the bed was very hard. We haven't encountered one that hard in all of our stays in Europe. Also, just a suggestion, but some of our hotels these last few trips have had portable fans for those of us who are used to AC and don't sleep well when it's hot. However, a good stay and we would definitely choose this hotel again if we're in Kassel.

This new hotel has great rooms with a large and very well equipped bathroom (tub and shower). You get a separate bed room and a small sitting room with a desk. Breakfast is excellent with baked beans, beacon, eggs in many styles and rolls and deli meats and cheese. Surroundings are wonderful, the hotel is in the forest and located close to the UNESCO world heritage site of the Mountain Park from the early 1700s. Highly recommended!

A unique place with an amazing restaurant and super friendly staff. Great hiking close by to see the Lowenburg Castle or the Herkules Monument. Highly recommend.

Good hotel, good price, great location
Great hotel and great location. We liked being away from the heart of the city-the hotel is 10 minutes up the nearby mountain. There were hiking trails and it was only about a 5-10 minute drive up to Hercules on top of the mountain. The room had a great view of the trees and was very peaceful. We only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location for Hercules. Great free parking right outside. We got there late and went for dinner at the Neu Holland restaurant just up the hill.....a very nice experience.

In town for Documenta, spent five nights here
The first thing folks should know about this hotel is that it's 3/4 mile past the last stop (Drusdal) on the 3 tram, and the bus to Alte Dursdal (the hotel's bus stop) is notoriously unreliable. There's supposed to be one every hour after 7 pm, but it never came (nor did it pass me as I was trudging up the hill). If you like hiking uphill at the end of a long day, this place is cozy enough and the price is right. On the other hand, getting into Kassel is easy, if not quick, and iMountainpark made for a nice place to come back to. There is no food except for breakfast and no place to shop, so you have to get your meals in Kassel or someplace on the road.

My experience was fine, the hotel has everything I need for a weekend stay, very close from de Herkules monument and 10 minutes from the Konigsplatz.

Sehrrrrrrrr sauber, ruhig und gemütlich. Ladesäulen sind praktisch. Also Gerne wieder! Es gab aber einige Kleinlichkeiten: Die Zimmer (besonders Bäder) sind etwas kleiner als in anderen Hotels.(Wir hatten Maxi Doppelzimmer) Die Mitarbeiter sind eher neutral. Nur manche nett. Das Frühstücksbüffet am Wochenende kann gerne öfter nachgefüllt werden.

Erster Eindruck, top. Alles sehr gepflegt und der Service ist gut. Dennoch hatte das gesamte eher den Eindruck eines besseren Hostels. Für die Anzahl an Zimmern gab es zum Frühstück nicht genügend Sitzplätze. Die Auswahl des Frühstückbuffets steht nicht im Verhältnis zum Preis - erinnert eher an Hostel/Jugendherberge. Alles aufgebacken oder aus der Tüte. Keine Kaffeespezialität vorhanden. Eher enttäuschend. Der Flur sehr hellhörig, die Zimmertüren sehr schwergängig zu öffnen und dementsprechend SEHR laut, wenn sie zufallen. Dennoch hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Die Gesamtanzahl der Parkplätze am Hotel ist etwas knapp, insbesondere dann, wenn einige Gäste nicht ordentlich parken. Ein Highlight ist die Anzahl der Ladesäulen. Ich selbst war allerdings mit einem reinen Verbrenner vor Ort.
