"We had stayed at Kona Village many years ago before it was destroyed by a tsunami. We were excited when we heard it had reopened, but worried that it may have lost some of it's charm. We were thrilled that it is still the unique, wonderful place it always was, but a lot more luxurious. The hales are very comfortable and quiet. "We had the best time staying at Kona Tiki Hotel! We loved hearing the waves crash in at night and the slow-down island vibe of the hotel. Staff was super friendly, room was clean and had everything we needed, took advantage of the beach equipment and book shelf and enjoyed our time on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Awesome place to stay to truly relax on vacation!"

"We enjoyed our stay immensely. The property was perfect for our family of 8. We used all 4 suites and the bedroom in the main house. We appreciated that there were some staples available like paper towels, spices, etc., as well as everything needed for coffee. We also appreciated the breakfast items, the basket of treats and the morning coffee all ready to pour. Thank you Kyle & Maza! We used the grille, the flattop, the jacuzzi and the fire pit. In the game room, we enjoyed playing a few games...

"The Big Island Retreat is a lovely property located minutes on foot to one of the best snorkeling beaches on Big Island. We stayed in the Ocean view room which was over 2 floors. The view from the bedroom is lovely. The rooms are quite small with little storage. The bed was only a double and very high off the floor making getting into it really hard. The bathroom is not totally enclosed and has no basin as the kitchen sink is just outside. Although there was nobody staying in the rooms...

"This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. "

"I love the quick access to everything near Kona. Parking was easy. The pool was closed for remodeling during my stay but it was not an issue due to near beach access. There were no issues with cleaning every 2 days."
