Affordable and clean rooms close to the airport for long layovers. Friendly staff, rooms were clean, air conditioning unit was a little loud when it was running.

No room was available even with email confirmation by Expedia. I got sent to another Road Lodge 30 minutes drive away, after driving 600km to reach this hotel from Durban. Then the other Road Lodge charged me again despite that no charge promise by them. I had never seen anything like this bad. I would like to demand my money back. To my fellow travelers, AVOID Road Lodge at all cost!

Good points. Clean safe and good value Bad points. Bad smell from the drains. Air con is a unit from the 80’s and as loud as a rock band all night. The rooms have been re modelled sensible. But the air cone unit was missed. Limited tv channels

I had no problem with my stay except for the hotel had no change for the vending machine which was the only thing you could get snacks or beverages from besides leaving the hotel.

I'll never go back to that Road Lodge
The reception lady was rude and unprofessional. I arrived at around 21h30 or so and greeted the reception lady and to my surprise she keep quite. I asked why she keep quite when I greeted her and her answer was "I'm tired". I was with my wife but she booked us in a room with bunker to make matters worse.

I was rather disappointed in the fact that I booked a smoking room but was told that none were available. Overall I think it was satisfactory but disappointing as well.

Positive Stay
Lodge had just been newly renovated. Found it to be very clean. Staff were friendly and efficient. Didn't use any of the services but they were available in the room booklets. Location for me was good as I was doing business on the East Rand. Overall would recommend it as it was adequately priced too

Magnificent
The WiFi must be rated at the best level of any hotel in Gauteng. The new rooms are great. Why one needs to pay double at another hotel just for a bit bigger room I don't know.
