This hotel may have been 4 star fifteen years ago but since then the maintenance department have been on holiday. Paint and wallpaper peeling, mould on the walls in my room, no hot water to name a few things

Don't take the breakfast buffet
It was okay, the hot water comes and goes during the shower. I don't recommend taking the breakfast, it is so bad, almost nothing there to eat, not even good pastries. What you pay for breakfast, you can spend for a ggod coffee and something to eat at Starbucks minute away inside the airport

great location by southern terminal. note that jeddah has three different airports though, so make sure you know where your flight is leaving from. check-in process could have been a bit faster, but overall convenient; spacious rooms

Double charge and Hotel does not respond
I made a reservation for one night, and then decided to cancel it to make another one for 2 nights. By the time the guest was at the hotel on the first night, he was asked if he would like to extend his stay. He said he had a reservation for 2 nights, but the hotel did not agree with that. He ended up having to pay for another night. I asked Hotels.com to contact the Mena Hotel to solve the problem, but it was not successful. I have been trying to contact the Hotel by email since January 18th, 4 emails have been sent, and I did not have any response. I am hoping to receive a refund of the extra night paid, but unfortunately the Mena Hotel is not willing to do that.

One night stay while in transit
This is a newer one story hotel right next to the Saudi Airlines terminal at Jeddah Airport. It’s very convenient if you’re in transit and have a flight to catch at the Saudi Airlines terminal. But if you’re flying any other airline then you have to take a cab to the other terminal which is about a 15-20 minute ride. There is no shuttle service available. The condition of the hotel was surprisingly deteriorating and a lot of work and repairs were going on in some rooms. Having said that, the hotel staff is very friendly and customer oriented. There is no business center located at the hotel so the hotel reception allowed us to use their computer as we had to book a flight. Rooms are spacious and bedding is comfortable. However, we had to call the front desk as the people staying in the room next door kept banging their door shut each time they would enter or leave. The doors really bang loud if you let them go. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choices. Complimentary water bottles were available in the room. I would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone that is in transit and is looking to stay close to the airport.

Perfect for staying over before flight or transit
Hotel is modern and upgraded. Easy to find and with the airport. Only issue we had was it did not mention anywhere which terminal the hotel was. Our flight was at terminal N and the hotel is at Terminal S which is almost half an hour drive . Its just very inconvenient when this important part is not mentioned anywhere. Other than that hotel is very good. Room is very clean.
