"We wanted to see the New River Gorge & surrounding area and the Cardinal Cottage was the perfect place to stay. It had everything we needed including 2 king size beds. It was located in a peaceful setting on 11 acres. Our group consisted of 2 couples around 70 yrs old. The house had easy access and the 2 showers in the bathrooms were easy to get into. The owner was super responsive and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful week!"

The view of the river is beautiful and can’t wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the river. "We had an amazing stay, the location of the house was perfect, and we were in easy reach of all the hikes, climbing, and other activities we planned for the week. Everything was amazing until the area took a direct hit from a tornado knocking out power for the rest of the week. The manager did a good job of communicating with us about the power outage (this house does not have a generator) so the lack of power in the entire area was not what we hoped for on our vacation but is also not the fault...
