Terrific
The corridor and room had an ‘eau de royalty’ fragrance (freshly decorated). The whole hotel looks like it’s had a bit of a refurb and is looking great on the inside and the staff were great. A great location too.

A great hotel with super friendly staff who give a good service. The food was tasty and had some great Scottish dishes including breakfast and other meals. We took our Labrador dog who was made a fuss of and was given treats and a sausage at breakfast. Location is good for theTrossachs and Loch Lomond. Plenty to do in the area and only 90 mins away via a scenic and often stunning route from by car from Glencoe and all its majesty. We would recommend this hotel to families, couples and singles who want a taste of the magic of Scotland.

I booked as a single person and was originally given a room (25) which on entering had a low level buzzing sound from a generator I did think it would be turned off at tfn however it wasn't and a member of staff helped me to change rooms to a quiet corner room (10) staff were all lovely and incredibly helpful food was excellent and really good value for money.i had a walk along the close by beach in the morning before leaving and I hope to return soon .I'd certainly book again when in the area

Dissapointed with my stay. Check in recepionist was lovely. Room however another matter although it was clean ,never got a winks sleep due to some funny motor like noise coming from around the radiators that were switched off. The bath was rather small only fit for little people. In the morning went down to for breakfast waiter asked tea or coffee then showed me to a used table put my tea down then never saw him again. Got up and left all the staff were gathered in reception blethering. Not impressed afraid. Should've been a nice reunion with my daughter who's based at Faslane but two nights spoiled

Needs a lot of TLC
Very helpful and pleasant staff and although the hotel is clean it is very ragged at the edges and needs an update. Our first room smelt as if a damp smelly cloth had been misplaced in it somewhere on complaint the staff were very helpful and moved us to a suit. This could at best be described as large but the heating did not work and the shower took at least 5 minutes to get even aired.

Lovely view, dated hotel
Stay was lovely but there are areas which need improvement. Stayed with our dog for two nights and the hotel was in a lovely and peaceful location. The hotel is however looking very dated and the bathrooms need updating. I would class this hotel as more dog-tolerable than dog friendly as there were a lot of restrictions on where you could sit/eat with the dog. I feel there needs to be more attention to detail such as bins outside, maybe a water bowl for dogs and clearing of tables. We sat outside one evening with a drink and although I brought the drinks inside and placed them on the bar, they were still there a couple of hours later. The staff working in the bar and at breakfast were all very friendly and polite.

A warm welcome and a decaf skinny latte too !
Arrived early to a warm welcome. All the staff are lovely , friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This Hotel is a gem and pleasure to visit. The postcode takes you straight to the driveway where a hotel sign give’s reassurance. Plenty of parking at the rear where you will find the entrance/ reception. Evening menu has something for everyone complements to the chef. Breakfast again caters for everyone but I do highly recommend a full Scottish which I thoroughly enjoyed. The room was large, airy , clean , great views over the garden / bay , curtains to block all light when closed , large TV, and a king sized comfortable bed. A very spacious clean bathroom , shower over bath combination with plenty of hot water and pressure which accommodates a 6’ man. Who enjoyed a well poured well kept pint of Guinness from a beautiful knowledgeable young woman which disappeared every now and then below the bar counter only to re-emerge with a cute smile. A Van Gogh for the Geordie and a London Gin plus a Rhubarb/ Ginger Gin for two happy guests. A well stocked friendly bar which was a pleasure to be where banter flowed freely amongst residents. Another one ere well it would be rude not to have a wee dram of Loch Lomond whisky near Loch Lomond again.
