It’s a remote beautiful property, can’t really walk to anything. Internet connection works in the room & on the property throughout. Absolutely NEED a car to go anywhere. I’d put dark curtains if it were my hotel since as the sun rose, it woke me up way earlier than I wished… I’d also not charge for breakfast & make available lactose free yogurt & milk. There’s a supermarket with lots of choice, a short car ride away, Sklavenitis. It sells all kinds of fresh, local fruits, local vegetables, nuts, seeds, and bottled water. The dinner salad I ate when I arrived was delicious. I was advised faucet water is potable but it affected my digestive track. Guess it takes some getting used to…this was my first ever trip to Ikaria.

Beautiful property and pool area with helpful staff and good breakfast. Close and walkable to main section of town but very peaceful. Limited and tight parking on property but found parking a short walk up the hill. Really enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant stay
Lovely 3* hotel in the center of Armenistis with walking distance to cafes, restaurants and supermarket. Amazing view - on the beach but not possible to swim due to rocks and big waves. Building is old but rooms are comfortable and renovated, same style of hotels all over the island. Lovely and pleasant staff at the reception willing to help with any questions we had re island and where to go etc.

This was our favorite hotel that we stayed in on our travels. We didn’t want to leave! We had a sea view room with a spacious balcony and the view is amazing. Nice updated rooms. Breakfast included- very nice quality with options for everyone. Hotel bar and hangout in the lobby. Very friendly staff who helped us plan our time there. Convenient location with cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Only regret is not hanging out by the pool while we stayed there. It was gorgeous.

The pools needed to be filtered and chlorinated. It was cloudy the two days we stayed. Our toilet did not flush but only when we lifted the cover. Room was small and needed updating. On a good note the views were breathtaking and their balconies made up for the things that were wrong.

Nice but could use some amenities
The rooms did not have a bureau or draws for clothing. You have to live out of your suitcase and the closet. No tissues except for toilet paper. Refrigerator would not make ice. Small items but mention able.

Accueil très bien, chaleureux et bienveillant. Stationnement sur place. Chambre: demander une chambre rénovée. Belle vue sur l’océan. Balcon avec demi-mur entre chacun (on voit le voisin). Très belle piscine. Déjeuner très bien Il y a un petit restaurant à 3 minutes à pied qui est excellent et pas dispendieux. Au soleil couchant, aller faire la route qui mène au bout de l’île, route neuve avec un panorama extraordinaire.

This is a lovely property overlooking the water with two pools. It was quiet while we were there so, some of the water elements were turned off around the property, however it was a lovely view and we could see the sunrise and sunset from our balcony. The owner/operators were friendly and polite and the woman working the front desk, Marina, was helpful and efficient.

Un horrible sejour
Ça commence par la voiture rayée et abîmée sur le parking Mon véhicule installé sur une place de l’hôtel , puis accès à la voiture bloqué quelques heures plus tard par une autre voiture. Découverte de la literie de très mauvaise qualité lit complètement hors d’usage impossible d’y dormir, frigo sale et balcon à la propreté douteuse. Petit déjeuner de mauvaise qualité

Visit to beautiful and wild Ikaria
The hotel is located beautifully at the rocky coast of the island and the view is excellent for the rooms with sea view, and the area around the pool. The breakfast is quite satisfactory and cleanliness and service are at good level. The rooms are not so spacious and parking not so easy due to island morphology and hotel location.

Ganz tollles Hotel mit ausgezeichner Lage, nach Norden ausgerichtet. Hat die Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Man kann zum Baden vom Hotel direkt über die Felsen ins Meer oder man geht ca. 7 Min zum nächsten Strand. WIe sich ja überhaupt im Norden (östlich von Armenistis, wo sich das Hotel befindet) mehrere Sandstrände zwischen 50 und 400m Länge aufreihen. Das Frühstück entspricht den Standards eines 3 Sterne Hotels, das Zimmerservice ist perfekt. Die Lage des Pools ist hervorragend, der Pool selbst in sehr gutem Zustand und mit glaklarem Meerwasser gefüllt. Ich hab mir Fotos auf Hotels noch einmal angeschaut: Sie sind nicht nur gut gemacht sinden bilden das Hotel und seine Lage ausgezeichnet ab. Kein Fake also. WIlfried Raunikar / Wien

Schönes Hotel mit Renovierungsbedarf
Die Lage direkt am Meer ist wunderbar. Nur wenige Gehminuten in den Ortskern. Die Sauberkeit insgesamt einschließlich des Pools wirklich gut. Wir waren leider in einem der nicht renovierten Zimmern untergebracht. Das Bett sehr hart, da kein Lattenrost unter der alten Matratze sondern eine Holzplatte auf dem gemauerten Bettgestell als Unterlage dient. Das Badezimmer war sehr renovieringsbedürftig. Die Toilette funktionierte nicht wirklich, ein Duschvorhang war nicht vorhanden.

Property was located in the centre of Armenistis with great water views. We also had excellent service by one of the reception staff, Katerina (a German girl who speaks fluent Greek), who went out of her way to assist us in every way! I've rarely seen this level of service and we do travel a lot. However, this hotel is certainly not a resort. Some towels were threadbare and ripped on the edges! These should be retired. If you wanted a drink near the pool (as it can get really hot outdoors) you needed to walk up to the reception (two floors up). The receptionist would then walk to the nearby bar and make the drink for you, which you would take down back to the pool. The breakfast became monotonous as mostly the same choices were offered daily. If you came to Ikaria to get a glimpse of the longevity lifestyle popularised by National Geographic as a Blue Zone, you might be disappointed - processed meats, cakes, canned fruit were offered. Yes, there was some fresh fruit e.g. watermelon, and cut up tomato and cucumber every morning, but too bad if you don't like eating eggs, processed meat and sweets for breakfast each day. Also, since coffee is the main beverage offered, they could provide proper coffee mugs. There were two spotted and all the guests were looking to see who would get them each morning as the tea cups (150-200 ml) offered are too small for a decent breakfast drink, meaning you had to get up multiple times.

Perfect location right next to the sea and only 2 minutes from the village. Although the hotel was quite full, it didn’t feel busy or overcrowded at all. The staff were all incredibly warm and friendly in a very natural way. - we loved Cavos Bay!

Cavos Bay Resort - peaceful and friendly hotel
Some of the rooms are renovated and look gorgeous, mine was not - and the shower was small. Everything was clean, and the front desk staff is FANTASTIC. By the end of our stay, we felt like family and did not want to leave. Breakfast is ok. The view is wonderful. Very peaceful. Location is good and a quick walk down the hill to many restaurants and a grocery store and ATM.
