"Lovely Chambre d’hote in a beautiful building which is strangely in quite a suburban spot (it’s not in the country side). Had dinner which was nice and a very reasonable bottle of champagne. Be prepared to spend time with strangers at pre meal drinks or at dinner. Charles the owner was lovely and hugely accommodating but may consider giving guests more a bit more space to enjoy his lovely home. "

"First time in Alsace, very impressed. The room is right in the centre of a beautiful town, lots of bars, restaurants on your doorstep. Lovely hike from the town up to St Ulrich Chateaux. Plenty of parking in nearby sidestreets overnight, but limited during the day. Wonderful breakfast, the lady who served us each day was very friendly and hospitable. "I turned up a little late because Eurostar was delayed, but the hosts were very welcoming. I also had to leave early, before they woke but they were very kind and left some breakfast for me. I will stay again and enjoy the chateau more next time. Its a lovely place to stay and very safe if you have a car loaded full of things, as the court yard is walled with a gate."
