Decent place. Internet doesn't work in room. Asked staff, they confirmed. Room has exhaust fan that runs all the time and is kind of loud. Otherwise fine place.

We rented three and they tried to put us close togetherT. he three bedroom cabin was wonderful, with a screened in porch. All cabin kitchens fully equipped. The two bedroom cabin has an outside patio, the one bedroom had no patio but was private and surrounded by woods.

This place is gorgeous! View of the lake from our patio, nice walking trails and piers, the lobby is stunning too. There are little plants they grow in their sustainable garden that you can buy (I took a little fern home and a stuffed eagle plush from the gift shop). The beds were so comfy! Lots of pillows and they weren't the cheap kind like some hotels have. I also loved the towels in the bathroom!!!! They had shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower, and they were all good. I enjoyed the night we spent there.

The setting for this property was wonderful. To have the lake and walking paths so close really made our stay perfect. We found the dining facilty to be convenient and we enjoyed each meal that we had there.

I was my first time here. Unfortunately it was only one night and we got there late so we really couldn’t enjoy the property. My grandchildren did get to have fun at the playground area. We are talking about maybe doing a vacation here. We had a cottage and it was awesome.

The WiFi was temperamental. It worked okay but was difficult to get connected to. Otherwise it was a great experience at KDV

Stayed here for 1 night. It was alright. Would I stay here again? Ehhh I would check other options first. The property is very old and outdated. Staff at the front desk said they’d been open since 1949, and it’s clear not much has been done since then. We killed several bugs in our room (not bed bugs) and the weather strip around the door was half gone, so we stuffed it with tissues to keep other bugs and wind out. I refused to let my bare feet touch the carpet in the room. However, the bed and bathroom were surprisingly very clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. Our favorite part of our stay was watching Clyde the raccoon scurry around the property.

This is our 3rd stay at this property. We purposely choose our route so we can stay here. It's a great spot to relax after hours of driving. The view is awesome, the rooms are clean, the staff is courteous and helpful. The restaurant is convenient and the breakfast buffet was very good. Our server even got my eggs done the way I like them, since I don't like scrambled eggs. We will stop again when we go that direction again.

Unique stay at a State owned resort, a little off the beaten path, but well worth it. Some rooms have weak internet. This is typical of most places these days. May come down in summer to enjoy the recreation area around the dam

This place was amazing. The view from the lobby was the best part. The rooms were spacious, clean, and cozy. I had a large balcony with comfy chairs to look at the lake. I walked the dog all around and the woods were beautiful. The bed topper was itchy, but I think I was just allergic. The price was perfect. Small confusion when I checked in as I paid 3rd party, but we got it all figured out. I hope to come back to visit again!

It was quiet and it's pretty on the water. However, the address that is listed isn't correct-it was a mouse chase trying to find it even using the GPS. The room HVAC didn't work correctly. I was there in February and we could never get the room to heat up.

Overall it was a nice stay. Our room could have been cleaner. Dust on the ceiling, hair in the tub and our carpet was ripped in a spot. Friendly staff and good food at the buffet. Views are great from the lobby and dining room.

Beautiful property, stay underwhelming
We found the views and grounds to be exceptional and had it not been super cold, we definitely would have walked around. The beds were not comfortable at all, barely got any sleep as the springs could be felt. The room was spacious but definitely outdated. We went to the restaurant on the property after viewing the menu thinking that would be just what we need at a decent price. However, when we got in there, we were told it’s buffet only and no price was listed. I assumed the cost would’ve been in line with the menu but it was $20 a person. Not what I would’ve spent for a small, limited buffet. The food however was decent. The desserts didn’t taste fresh. The furniture was outdated and didn’t feel sturdy. Unfortunately, we will likely not return to this location.
