Property caters to its type of clientele well enough to get good reviews.However it's not really a hotel as no evening meals supplied and it's a considerable stretch to call itself "boutique" ... that implies chic and something special."Luxury" equally does not apply.It's an adequate bed & breakfast/guest house.Parking can be a problem and certainly do not place any reliance on what management say about parking restrictions in the area.

Breakfast was good.staff was welcoming.but the ceiling rose had tape on the wire and it was trapped.there was more water coming out the bottom of the electric shower than the head.and the hot and cold water was the wrong way round.i went to get a glass of water turned the tap to the right and it was red hot.nearly burnt myself

Had a comfortable stay. The owners were really friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The cooked breakfast was very nice. The hotel is dog friendly. There's no parking (on street 1st come 1st served) It's on the higher end of price (£175 for B&B and a couple of glasses of wine) but we enjoyed our stay. Happy to recommend them.

No bar or room to go for a drink or cuppa, just like a lounge to sit in, very disappointing, due to this more like a B&B than a hotel and very over priced ! The Rowan Coppice room is tiny and Not big enough for 1 person, never mind 2, kept bumping our legs on the bed etc….. Also very steep stairs to get to the room and 2 steps to the RC and if tripped up would be down the whole flight, dangerous and not for anyone that is a little unstable on their legs or elderly ! The lady that run it was very Nice and friendly and made a lovely breakfast. Unfortunately the building not right for older people, as an old building with No lift and lots of stairs ! Also as mentioned no bar, or drinks or able to have food therefore very overpriced !!

The hotel was comfortable enough, had a lovely big room, Poplar Forest and some really nice furniture, lamps, lights , sofas etc….Lady that run the hotel was lovely, helpful and friendly and cooked. Really nice breakfast. The biggest thing missing for us were that there was no bar set up to go and have a drink of an evening in the hotel or a tea or coffee. Therefore felt the pricing of this hotel, more like a bed and breakfast was very over priced.
