"Lovely olde world hotel with a nice basement bath house. Good breakfast and a great location close to shops, restaurants and the beautiful castle. Pick up from the station at 3pm was a bonus!"

"Convenient for public transport and the castle was within walking distance. Unfortunately i was given a smoking room which stank like an old ashtray. The room was heavily nicotine stained and even after using freshner it still smelt.the Free breakfast was limited in choice and not topped up, so first in best selection. The staff are friendly and helpful and i will stay here again but i will specify a non smking room."

"Staff, food, game room, bedrooms, outdoor hot tub, and amenities are over the top amazing and comfortable. Everyone was so kind and went above and beyond making our 4 night stay an epic ski week experience of a lifetime. We made new friends and had everything, and more even, than we needed. "We had an amazing stay. The couple host were so warm and welcoming. Both communicates in good English. The wife served the best homemade original recipe Earlgray scone for breakfast and even shared her recipe to the guest. How amazing is that?! The husband even go beyond and explain the weather of the day, gave recommendations on where to eat and where to go for onsen. You will really experience the Japanese omotenashi at its fullest. The place is beautifully surrounded with autumn colors. If...

"a pleasant surprise! when we checked in, it felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. we found out that it was an extremely quiet season, as can be seen for other nearby hotels and restaurant. We had the whole onsen to ourselves! Since it is in a little town, don't expect many F&B outlets nearby. The host (which happened to be the owner) treated us very well, a big Thank You!!"

"Tilbrakte to dager på Andaikan med god mat og mange aper! Vertskapet er meget hjelpsomme og steller i stand tradisjonell japansk frokost og te. Det er en glodvarm onsen i kjelleren, og man får utdelt kimonoer til å gå fra onsen til onsen i resten av "byen" hvis man skulle ønske det. Det er fire km å gå til snøapeparken, men vertskapet kjører mer en gjerne bil. Anbefales på det varmeste!"
