"Very reasonable price for my weekend stay. The room is equipped with the minimum necessary for a comfortable sleep. Recommended for anyone who wants to find pleasures outside of a hotel (Kochi has a lot of places for late night drinking!)."

"the bathroom is tiny, If you are taller than 5'4" you may have trouble using the toilet. I travelled with my 80 years old mother and she had trouble getting in and out of the bathroom so we had to cancel the reservation and moved to another hotel. the staff there was so helpful and tried very hard to find us a place to stay in town with a bigger bathroom. "

"Recently opened when we visited so everything was shiny and new. Had a great stay apart from one thing which was the parking situation. We had a car for our group and one of the reasons I had chosen this place was the advertised parking. When we arrived I was advised to drive around the corner from the front entrance to a ramp where the parking lot was. When I got to the gate the machine did not issue a ticket and the arm didn’t raise. There was only one button on the machine which was scarily red. I had been trying all day and since I had been driving on the the “other” side of the road all day I think my anxiety kicked in and I didn’t press the button which meant I had to reverse down the ramp which was painful. For reference, everything other machine with a gate we pulled up to either automatically dispensed a ticket or there was a green button to dispense. Anyway, after reversing down the ramp and finding a temporary spot to park I “spoke” with the desk agent using Google translate. After quite a bit of back and forth it was evident that clicking the red button was the action which would dispense a ticket. *sigh*"

"Our 3-night stay at Jyoseikan was comfortable and pleasant. The staff was extremely polite and responsive to all our inquiries and requests. Our room was traditional Japanese style, a bit dated but well maintained. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful variety of Japanese and Western style dishes, all very delicious. Would definitely recommend Jyoseikan to anyone and would stay here again on future trips."

"The proprietor Taro-san was very kind and understanding, as well as his partner. However, the rooms were exceedingly hot, the air conditioning wasn't working properly, the laundry machine (particularly the drier) wasn't working properly, and the overall experience was lacking. The proximity to transit and the nearby convenience store was amazing, and the proprietor was fine, but the facilities left a gap in the experience that couldn't be mended."
