Beautiful Refreshed 3/2 Waterfront Home w/Solar Pool

This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath canal front home which is perfect for a family getaway. It sleeps 10 people at an affordable price with lots of amenities to make you feel more like our house guests than vacation renters!

The house has an open concept kitchen, dining room and sunken living room. The kitchen is fully stocked so plan to make some great meals to eat at the large dining room table, the breakfast nook or poolside. If you prefer to grill, the “grill master” can choose to use the large flat top gas grill or the smaller charcoal grill.

There is a split bedroom arrangement. The master bedroom has a king size bed and sliding glass doors leading to the pool. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third has a bunk bed with a full mattress on the bottom and a twin mattress on the top. There is a full mattress under the bed that can be pulled out if needed. The closet is stocked with toys and games so we like to call this the “kids room.”

The private solar heated pool (chilly during winter months) is enclosed by a spacious lanai with ample seating for the whole family to eat, sunbathe, watch the kids swim or read a good book. If the night is a little chilly you can sit by the fire in the separate outdoor patio.

After you launch your boat or jet ski from the public boat ramp across the street it’s only a short ride to the canal where you’ll find the dock with the small boat lift and jet ski floating dock. Fill your beverage & fish coolers with ice from our 250lb ice machine and you're on your way. Please note that the canal can get shallow during low tide but I was able to easily maneuver my 27’ boat to the deeper water.

Restaurants, shopping and the historical town are just a few minutes away. Crystal clear springs, nature trails and parks are close by for the outdoor lovers.

This is where you want to stay in the summertime for some great scalloping, the winter time to see the manatees and to escape the cold if you’re snowbirds and all year long for some phenomenal fishing!

Restful time in the sun!
Such fun! So relaxing! The pool was wonderful, the kids didnt want to come out. The patio had wonderful shade and fans and made a perfect place to supervise. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked easily. The grill was just fun. My first time using a Blackstone but I’m sold. We kayaked in the canal, fished, hiked Crystal River Preserve State Park, swam at Fort Island and saw manatees at Hunter Park. We had a wonderful vacation. The house was cool and comfortable and had everything from night lights to beach towels. Thank you so much for such a relaxing trip. Huge fans from North Carolina!

Great place for the entire family
We had not had a family vacation in a couple of years and this was such a relaxing spot. The pool was awesome, the canal behind is pretty and a great spot to watch turtles play, the house is well stocked, and is in great proximity to everything. The neighborhood was really quiet. The ice maker in the garage is a really nice added detail. We found the beds to be comfortable and the master bathroom is fantastic with a huge shower. Lots of beach towels are provided for the pool. This was the most equipped rental I have stayed in in a number of years. I had brought my own restock items of trash bags, toilet paper, etc but really didn’t need them. Basic spices and coffee filters are in the kitchen. They even had shampoo and body wash if you forgot your own. We had most of our own stuff with us, but the owners obviously have taken great care to ensure their renters have a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay again and reccomend to friends. There are even books and toys. Tips: go to Homosassa to see the manatees. The boat tour is affordable and you see so many animals. It is a much better deal than Three Sisters. Bubbaques has a delicious salad bar and Hunter Springs is a great place to snorkel. All of the above is a short drive from this property.

Great House with Manatee
We visited Crystal River in late March and were ready to see some manatee and relax. This house did not disappoint. Each day we saw one or two in the cancel behind the house and decided to go out several times in the kayak and into other cancels but never saw any. Then the last day, at high tide there were 5 adults and one baby in the cancel and we were able to watch them for almost an hour. It was great. The house is very nice and would definetly return for scallop season

The home is in a great location just off the main highway making it super fast and easy to go anywhere. All rooms were comfortable.master bed 6/10 soft, guest bed 5/10 soft. Tons of extras provided like shampoo and laundry detergent that I’m used to bringing for myself. The outdoor and pool area was really nice though we didn’t use it (the noseeums were vicious!). Could use a deep cleaning but otherwise a great stay!! Highly recommend!

The house was exactly as depicted. We have rented many house through VRBO and this was the best supplied of any. David, the homeowner was very accessible and accommodating. It was a quiet neighborhood and very close to the features of Crystal River. I give it my highest recommendation.

Family Thanksgiving
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving in the Turtle House! Perfect location to enjoy all that Crystal River has to offer! We enjoyed swimming with Manatees, the Citrus Ave shops & restaurants, Three Sisters Nat’l Park and lounging around this comfy home watching football. We enjoyed the fire pit and cooking on the Blackstone(what a treat). Home is very clean and beds are comfy. David is so great with communication. Hope to be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the turtle house. The house we very clean, well stocked with all sorts of extras and plenty big enough for our family of 4 and little dog! We were very happy with our stay and the condition of the home. We were expecting a heated pool and unfortunately we were very disappointed that the pool temp averaged 68 degrees and only reached 72. We were really hoping it would have been warmer than that as the pool and hot tub were 2 of the big reasons we chose to stay at that property. We were also disappointed to find the hot tub was empty - that was an amenity we were really looking to enjoy. Overall great house - but a very disappointing that we weren’t able to enjoy 2 of what were the big amenities, in our opinion, that drew us to the house.

Beautiful home on quiet neighborhood street that is a dead end with a boat accessible canal. Home was as advertised but you really cannot appreciate until you visit. Was able to put the boat in at the ramp right around the corner for only $15.00. Dogs had a great time and the pool was a hit with the kid. Momma loved the kitchen, and shower. Dad’s favorites included the screened in pool where we ate every meal and having the boat in the water just a few steps from the house.

Loved the pool!
We stayed here for a few days with our older kids (ages 12-21) and our pups. The neighborhood is such a quiet, pleasant place to hang out and walk. I felt safe being out walking by myself or sending the kids out to walk our dogs. We explored with the kayaks/SUPs, and we went hiking at a nearby park. The kids loved the pool, and the doggy door/potty area worked out great for the dogs. My husband even saw manatees on one of the kayak outings. There's a Publix about 10 minutes away, and basic shopping spots in the area if you forget something. I loved that this spot was "off the beaten path," so it was more about resting and hanging out and exploring. We didn't have any problems, so didn't need to communicate with property manager. But the neighbors were nice, and the house itself was in great shape.

Location and Property Great for Us
We appreciated being out of the middle of Crystal River. Not far or difficult to go to town for shopping or dining. Nice short, quiet street. There is a bit of a boat ride at slow speed to get to the main channel. We enjoyed it ourselves, but some people may not like it. Also, we have a relatively small 17 foot boat. If I had a much larger boat, access into the canal and turning around may have been a challenge. Again, it worked great for us and we had no complaints. Bed was comfortable. All in all, a great property and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Perfect family house
This was our second scallop season staying at the Turtle House. We had the best time ever and the house perfectly suited our needs. Our kids loved the living room and tv area and played in the pool non stop. The black stone cooktop was amazing for evening meals. The host has wonderful communication and looks for solutions quickly. Our whole family looks forward to this house every scallop season, we will be returning next year and can’t wait!

Severe Trip Hazards
The house is beautifully decorated & clean. First off this house has a sunken Livingroom and one of the bedrooms has a step up into it. The pool area also has a step down. The flooring in these areas blend to make it easy to miss the steps and the bathroom step down in the middle of the night is an accident waiting to happen. One of our friends children fell in the pool area due to one of these step downs. The steps in the house are marked with caution stickers but the pool is not. There was a mistake on the dates of our booking. We thought our reservation was for a Thursday to a Sunday. Apparently it was mistakenly reserved for Wednesday to Saturday. The owner never called us to find out why we didn't check in or see if we were ok Wednesday which would have made us take another look at the dates. The cleaning lady arrived on a Saturday and accused me of checking out late on purpose. We cleaned out or things in 20 minutes or less while wet in our bathing suits and drive home 4+ hours that way. It was horrible.

Great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Turtle House! We spent a week in heaven and didnt want to leave. The house is great, the was amazing and we love the neighborhood. The canal is a nice slow cruise 30 minute ride out to the main river. Boat ramp is around the corner and easy put in and take out. Our 21ft cobia had no problems getting in and out.

Perfect location. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Kitchen was adequately equipped with everything you need and the Blackstone grill was definitely used the most, grilled fish for dinner then bacon and eggs on the griddle the next morning. Pool was nice. Water was not cold. Just perfect. Overall everything was great. Would definitely stay again

Fantastic! The Property has water frontage and kayaks and paddle boards are provided. The pool was perfect and well maintained with a nice grill located on the patio. We had several storms pass through during our stay but that didn't stop us from having a great time. David was very attentive and helpful.
