I am sorry you did not feel that your accommodations were adequate. You were told by me that I could not initiate a cancellation/refund, but that i would approve one that you requested through EXPEDIA.The bed was not broken. The frame was missing and being replaced. You were told of the situation when you requested a six hour early. check-in and indicated that you did not care. The bed was elevated off the floor at normal bed level and made up with our down signature feather comforter, Egyptian cotton sheets and down pillows. You lied down in the bed and remarked that I t was so comfortable that you did not think you were going to get up out of it for the rest of your trip. The air conditioner worked just fine as I set it to 70 after you insisted that 72 was not cold enough. I then explain how the AC unit worked and asked you to please not to smoke tobacco in the room. You indicated that you were happy and left to get supplies.Your call to me after your return claiming that AC unit was not working came as a surprise. I offered to send somebody over immediately to look at it and correct any problem but you abruptly told me you were leaving and wanted a refund. I responded to your request by informing you that I would work with EXPEDIA to get you a refund, but that you had to cancel and request the refund from them. Upon my return back to the property I walked in to your room 30 minutes after our conversation and it was 73. I called to tell you that the problem was that when you turned the thermostat down to 58, you had also switched the unit from cool to heat. There was nothing wrong with the AC unit as indicated by the photo I texted you. I then asked if you would like to return or preferred to continue with the cancellation/refund request through Expedia and received no response. There was nothing wrong with your bed, the place looks a as it does online and the air conditioner works perfectly. I am sorry that rather than request a refund as instructed by me directly from Expedia you decided to deny us the of the ability to re-rent your room when it was the only room we had available. I hope the rest of your vacation met your expectations.
