“Lovely setting and all the staff were very helpful. The rooms are fantastic and the quality of the furnishings is high. Had breakfast which was served quickly and of very f=good quality. Will defiantly be back again for a weekend stay not work as this was. Fully recommend booking this place. ”

“Good and bad. Room clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. Pillows felt if they were full of little foam balls, and mattress very soft but slept well, once the outside music stopped. On Friday and Saturday nights the music is tired up loud and the bright young things of Chester come out to play. As there were not many people outside they did turn the music down when asked but in the summer I would think it would go on until late. ”

“Amazing and so chilled hotel. Spa was sensational. Only thing I would say even if you book spa treatments you can’t use gardens or pool without extra cost. ”

“We had a lovely two day break in room 522 which had a balcony overlooking the canal which was unexpected. Breakfast lovely and staff very nice. Reception staff were very helpful when we booked a pizza, then took receipt of it and delivered it to our door complete with plates and cutlery. Thank you all xx”

“The staff are excellent, friendly and very professional. Free coffee 24hrs even to takeaway. Full English buffet breakfast. Less than 5 minute walk to the historic city center. My room had a beautiful view the race course. I've stayed at the other two main rivals in chester (you know which one's) and this hotel is much better.”
