Lovely Bungalow in private , secluded neighborhood near Carrboro

Delightful space for family gatherings or small group of friends, nestled in a friendly, inclusive country neighborhood. Owner lives next door and ready to help if there is an issue but you will feel secluded in this lovingly appointed house in the woods. This is a great place to relax with family for a few days or to just stay in a truly peaceful space while you decompress with friends. Nice fenced in back yard with deck and grill will help you enjoy the outdoors with a wooded view. Front porch looks out onto the country drive and more trees. Woods right next to the house can be explored too. The house is 10 minutes to Carrboro downtown with shopping and restaurants. There is a Food Lion and a Chinese restaurant about 8 minutes away . We are close to Chapel Hill and not far from Durham, both offering more options. If you plan to stay for more than a month please contact me for special rates . Please , no loud parties, and gatherings should be limited to 10 people. You may hear professional musicians practicing down the street sometimes if you are outside but it is never loud. If you want to check in early or check out late please just book the extra date. I can not guarantee altered timetables unless you do that since it takes time to clean the house between guests and often they bookings are back to back.
Please pay the pet fee if you are bringing pets, and please not we do not allow cats.

Wonderful place to gather
My family stayed here during our stay for our daughter’s graduation from Elon. Loved the proximity to Carrboro and all the restaurants in town. The place was clean and had everything we need and very comfortable for us to relax during a busy weekend. The owner was communicative and responsive to questions before and during our stay. Highly recommend staying here.

Practical Convenient Family Stay House
Kitchen, Laundry and Bathrooms are the strong points for this listing. Inside was clean and comfortable. Outside had great parking with easy entrance, but porch, deck and yard furniture were dirty and not kept up well. This lovely wooded area caused a late night Uber to be a bit anxious.

Perfect hideaway!
This experience was, in a word, perfect. From communication with the owner, to location of the "cabin in the woods" (as my family called it), to the amenities, this was the ideal choice for a long weekend celebrating our Tar Heel graduate. We will be back!

A little slice of rural just outside the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. The home is cozy, clean and Veva is a great, responsive owner. Our family of four and dog enjoyed our stay.

Second Visit
This was our second stay at Veva's place in outlying Chapel Hill. The house was sparkling clean and generously supplied with good linens, comfortable beds, cookware and kitchen utensils. The fenced yard and woodland paths just outside the door were perfect for our pup. Thanks!

Quiet, secluded house
Great house, well equipped with nice quiet location. Stayed for a family wedding and had a fabulous time until we were locked out when trying to get our young daughter ready for bedtime. Had difficulty getting the hosts to respond and took a while for us to get back inside. Would stay again but would likely ask for a spare key just in case.

Quiet wooded stay near Honeysuckle Teahouse
We stayed in this property during a weekend family wedding at Honeysuckle Teahouse. Lovely wooded spot on a private road. The layout of the house was great for the 5 adults and dog, who loved the fenced in back yard and walks on the road. Loved the southern facing front porch that soaked up sunshine all day.

Cozy Hideaway
Cute cozy house down a one lane gravel road in a wooded area. Driveway can be tight for large vehicles to enter, exit, or turn around but it is doable. House was well decorated and clean.

Cute Cottage in the Woods
The 3 bedroom cottage was simply beautiful with a very nice deck space of the dining room. The yard was spacious but not usable because of the tall ground covering .which was grown to about 6 inches tall. Therfore, you could not see what was lurking (i.e., ticks, snakes, bugs, etc.) underneath. So you are retained to the deck. We had two blackouts (power loss0 for a good 4 hours during the first and last day of our stay, which was very incovenient. However, when the power was on, our living conditions were quite pleasant. There is a TV in the main living space that is very hard to operate, even with the help of the owners. However, we somehow got the cable and streaming channel to work .....after hours of fiddling around. In spite of these few quirks, If you are looking for a private secluded cottage in the woods, this is a GREAT retreat!!!. It is also 5 minutes from UNC Chapel Hill, if you are visiting a student there.
