Nothing seemed to work, none of the side doors worked, the hot tub didn’t work, one of the elevators was out. My in-laws had to move rooms because their bathroom door wouldn’t close and the shower leaked. The staff was friendly enough.

Decent enough hotel. Convient. Bed a pilloed were comfortable. Needs some updating. Floors in room did not appear vacuumed in some areas. Shower head leaks unless handle is turned very tight.

The shower head leaked from the moment we entered the room. When I asked them to move us I was told all the showerheads were leaking. We put multiple towels underneath in an effort to quiet the noise. The bathroom door only opened part way. Glass shower doors had soap scum on them. Noisy if your room faces the road.

This property is very run down. Both side entrances were broken. One elevator was not working. The ice machine on our floor was not working. Doors all scratched and did not feel secure. It was not a pleasant stay.

Nice quiet area to stay. The room was ok but the bathroom needed to be cleaned it was filthy. Ledge on the bottom of shower was full of hair.

This La Quinta was fine, it's a little on the noisy side because it's right next to a busy highway. Our check-in experience wasn't the best, I think it took 15-20 minutes to check in, and I'm not sure why. At one point the staff member disappeared into the back room for 5 minutes. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable.

Best bet I had slept in a week. Everything was clean. Only issue that I could see was the shower was leaking. Breakfast was good and it was nice to see. Servesafe being trained to a new staff member.

This is a tough review for me. We had a one bedroom King unit. It was clean and what I would expect from a LaQuinta, but there were just a few too many small issues. Issues included slow shower drain that left you standing in 2" of water while showering, a broken shower curtain rod which left about 1 foot open on each side of the shower, a slow draining sink, a thermostat on the wall not connected to anything (manual controls on the unit itself. Took a few minutes to figure this out), garbage bag from previous stay left in room, and a poor window seal which created a whistling noise in the room due to wind. Having said all of that, it was priced well, was safe, was clean, and in a good location for Carlsbad Caverns. With similar local options that I had this time, I would choose the LaQuinta again.

The front desk young lady, Mariah, was extremely nice, helpful and a joy to speak to. I was having an issue with Expedia and she tried her best to help me with them. The evening young lady (didn't get her name) was also very helpful. Anytime we needed extra towels, she supplied us with them. I do have an issue with the room cleaning crew. They weren't around the whole time we were there. We had to get clean towels on our own and the trash cans in the room never got emptied for 3 days. On our last night we requested clean towels and we got smaller, cheaper, thinner towels than the ones from the first day. I was told the management bought new towels and these were them. On this trip we stayed only at Wyndham properties, but this one needs a little help in hiring cleaning staff.

If you book a room here, request a room on the back because the highway noise is so loud. The whirlpool was broken. Nice breakfast with an extremely efficient host restocking and cleaning.

Room was dirty. Needed to be vacuumed. Walls were dirty. Appeared to not have been wiped in quite a while. Visible dirt and stains on walls, floors and furniture. Bathroom floor tiles were broken and loose. Bathtub was filthy and paint was peeling. No cleaning service provided to replenish towels or toilet paper. Broken toilet seat. Night staff had poor customer service and completely unfriendly attitude when checking in. Will avoid future booking with La Quinta at all cost.

The hotel was by far the noisiest I’ve ever stayed in. Our room faced the highway and there was constant road noise. The windows need replaced or they should provide earplugs for guests. The staff were nice, breakfast was good and the location was convenient.

The smoke alarm in our room beeped low battery both nights and nothing was done to change it. The hot tub didn’t work and was freezing cold. Staff seemed off-standish borderline irritated. Facility was clean and comfortable otherwise.

The water in the shower wouldnt shut off. Since i didnt book directly through them, they had no care to move us to another room. Staff was rude and unhelpful. The pictures online are probably 7 years old and looks nothing like it does today.

Amazing amount of disrepair! My mom’s shower has a shocking amount of mold/ mildew. Our bathtub faucet leaks profusely and the bathroom floor is spongy. The TV doesn't provide but one local station and one of the elevators shakes and makes way too much noise. On the surface it looks nice - lobby is nice. Rooms are not good, though. And apparently they are understaffed so are unable to respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner. They also did not have rooms ready by the 3pm check-in….. Front desk folks were nice but……

Room had water constantly running in shower/tub that would not turn off. Had to shut door to bathroom to sleep without too much annoyance. Very few towels provided on first day. Maids gladly provided more when I asked. Recommended restaurant (Lucy’s) was not open when we visited… both days we were there. Lots of chips and decrepit aspects to flooring and interior of bathroom floor. It’s in bad shape. Breakfast setup was solid.

Excellent breakfast! Hot and cold options for entire family. Bathroom door did not close and shower was not very good. Handle had to be wrenched to prevent dripping. Had to ask for additional shampoo and towels. Bed was very comfortable!

The lobby was nice and modern but the cleanliness of the room was horrendous!!! There was hair and stains all over the white covers and the shower was filthy! We didn’t shower because it was so disgusting. After a long day hiking and sweating in the humid carlsbad caverns and not being able to relax and shower after really sucked. The lady at the front was yelled at 3 times in front of me. She promised a discount because there were no other rooms available but I never received it. She was obviously overwhelmed. We will definitely stay elsewhere on our next trip.

The hotel needs to be updated badly. The first people you should encounter should be friendly and welcoming. They were not. The furniture was old. Three towels, 1 washcloth for 4 people for 2 night stay. When we asked for more we were told they didn't have any. Three pillows on each bed as well. The top blanket was a thin as a sheet. The pool and hot tub cold and dirty. Breakfast was decent, however the gentleman working the area was grumpy, both mornings. We decided not to have breakfast there our last morning. I think we will definitely not be staying at La Quinta anytime soon.
