"We were very disappointed this time to see the condition of the hotel with plastic tarp on the roof. Very old now need some updating. And the front office so sad to see that it has turned into shelves of books instead of the sweet little breakfast nook at once was."

"Love it here. Although you don’t have the option for ocean front view you do have a partial view and everything else makes up for it. The lounge area with prime ocean views is quaint, comfy, and perfect for snacks, a cocktail, or to relax. Mornings you’re greeted with picnic basket with pastries and hot coffee and mimosas. Beds are comfortable and all the Aesop bath products are lovely. Definitely coming back!"

"The room was very nice and clean. Had difficulty with getting the blinds up and done--more complicated than it has to be. Getting up for the bathroom through the night was no fun because of the automatic light in the bathroom--it was blinding! Suggest replacing the sensor with a dimmable, manual switch. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and being walkable to restaurants and shops was perfect"

"Check in was different, but once we figured it out, it was very easy as well as check-out. It snowed quite a bit (in May) and we were a little concerned about the steep driveway, wasn't a problem. It was plowed and salted before we we needed to leave (early). The room was clean and comfortable. Great alternative to staying in a casino."

"Nice, very old 1930’s building with lots of charm in the Chula Vista area of San Diego. Small rooms but of course for the time it was built it makes sense. Probably could use some paint and general spruce up. The bed was very comfortable and there were large soft bath towels. Quiet peaceful sleep and walk to restaurants and coffee shops."

"We had a great time, we will stay again. Tina at the front desk very informed and helpful. Hotel is very close to the downtown area and very walkable. You will need to stay in communication for check-in to ensure they are available you help you. They do have a after hours lock box to be able to access your room. We did not need but it was communicated to us the morning of check-in."

"It’s my second time staying at this establishment, and I’ve been happy with both experiences. The hosts are friendly and easy to reach. The rooms and beds are as advertised. Bed was comfortable and clean. There are shared bathrooms and kitchen. The guest house is conveniently located in Koreatown and close to the freeway (if you drive; plus you can pay for gated parking for $5/night or street park for free) and close to bus stop. The place is certainly an economical option but I got my money’s...
