"I love village hotels. I think they're the best chain to stay in. Always good standards with great facilities. However, although we had a nice stay, and the staff as always were great, this one has seen much better days. It was very worn and looked tired. The carpets throughout need replacing. Wallpaper was coming off the walls in the halls. Our rooms were nice, but just need a bit of tlc. A nice stay, but the hotel needs some love"

"Gorgeous room. Annoyingly few tea bags and milk sachets provided. Lovely toiletries. Didn’t get to use the rooftop bar on a sunny day as was closed for private party which was a shame. 10-15 min walk to everywhere we wanted to go: The quay restaurants, New Theatre, the Minster, the Polar Bear Club (fab live music in small pub setting!)"

"Lovely break away overnight for me and sisters birthday had lovely time all staff very welcome and friendly. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was good choice to choose from. Room was excellent bed very comfy and looked out onto trees which was lovely seeing birds and squirrels couldn’t have asked for a better night away. Having mobility issues i found no problems with getting around hotel with walking aid . Thank you for a lovely stay . "

"Was very pleased to discover this hotel. Beautiful building, room was as good as the other hotel group we normally use. Small points to mention, towels are small, and we had no soap in the bathroom, toilet seat was dirty, had to wash it before I could use it. "Perfect location to visit Hull Uni. Parking available. Room was Ok but one ceiling light was not working. The bathroom was clean but needed some t.l.c. Bedroom was a good size and clean. good facilities. bed mattress was too soft for my wife and I but comfortable. Outside lights to the back of the property were still on around 1..30 pm which disturbed our sleep pattern a bit. "This is a nice hotel with comfortable modern air-conditioned rooms for travelers. The bathroom was adequate, although we wished for a shower door in addition to a glass partition. The location just on the other side of the river from the older city gave us broad views of the riverfront and the cathedral beyond. It is easy to access by car and extremely walkable from hotel to the cathedral. In-site parking was overbooked and staff directed us to a convenient deck 2 blocks away, and credited us for parking when there was a problem. We wished for more staff in the small lobby to greet guests and handle baggage. "
