Difficult to find, off a feces-filled alley, comfortable beds, but dogs barking all night. Really expensive breakfast. Be advised that you have to pay $15 to enter the city. It's worth it, but we didn't know.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your review!!!
This is an excellent guest house .. very close to the centre of magical Bhaktapur but pretty quiet. Krishna and family are very friendly and super helpful and speak good English. The ensuite room I had was extremely clean and comfortable. The best thing is that part of the guest charge goes to support the home for disabled children that Krishna runs.

Dear Mark,
Namaste!!!
Thank you very much for staying with us and expressing your experience with us. We are looking forward to welcome you every year.
This hotel is in an ideal location in Bhaktapur. Heart of Bhaktapur is a play on words as this is a hotel that has a heart and is in the centre of the historic area. The profits of the hotel support disabled children with physiotherapy and caring and kindness. Some of the children are orphans and some come from families who look on disability as a black mark against the family and are ashamed of their children. The owners work hard to support the centre and run the hotel. Everyone is friendly here. The location is excellent. The staff came to meet my taxi to lead me down the small alleyway to the hotel. The rooftop breakfast and sunrise views overlook the temple of Taumadhi Square. Bhaktapur has been hit very hard by the recent earthquake but the hotel has hot water (solar panels so during certain times there is more hot water than other times), comfortable beds, is clean and wifi was good. This is a good value budget hotel in a perfect location. There was no air conditioning.

Wonderful, clean and nice hotel. Great owner, very nice and helpful staff. ALL profits go to a welfare for disabled children, which you even can visit. They doing a VERY good job.
Close to the attractions of Bhaktapur.
