"This is most likely due to the wildlife sanctuary the property is located on, but the ticks were insane! You need to be aware of this and check your dogs and yourselves frequently. I hope the neighborhood is able to do something about this issue. I am not someone who ever complains but it warrants a less than perfect review. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for everything. Otherwise, I highly recommend staying here."

"We loved the cozy living room and amazing screen porch. There was plenty of space for our two young kids, us, and my sister! There was a huge and super comfy sectional sofa and a great fireplace that we made an awesome fire in with the firewood that the hosts left for us. We had a great time hanging out in the house since it rained most of the weekend and was pretty cold. When it did clear up a little, the view from the dock was gorgeous! Very nice state park at Smith Lake and would recommend to see. Host would respond quickly to any questions we had while at cottage and made our stay very enjoyable.
