“The heater was very noisy. There were three people in our occupancy. On the second day of our stay, we went to the counter to ask for bath towels, but the counter staff were only willing to give us two copies. If I want three towels, l would need to pay.😠 ”

“Rustic historical hotel, friendly service. Very set in doing things a traditional way. When checking in, even though there was six of us in line, the single check in person gave the lengthy speech to each of us, exactly the same even though we near the end of the line heard it several times by then. It would be better to shorten the talk and improve by digitalization or better written communication.”

“The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom……

“This is an excellent value for the price of accommodation. You get a full apartment with laundry, dining room, and full-blown kitchen. Location is not wonderful as it is about 45 minutes from Anacortes by way of various country roads. Suburbia is a few minutes away, but the urban core of beautiful downtown Stanwood resembles a frontier town. There is an Amtrak station across the street which means an easy rail commute to either Seattle or Vancouver BC.”

“When I checked in I was told Expedia made a mistake and the king with a hot tub that I paid for was not correct and our room did not include a hot tub. If we wanted the room with a hot tub it would be an extra $75.00 on top of the $206.00 I paid Expedia”
